Chapter 85: Campus finishes, return home
"Watch closely, I will activate this cannon in a moment. Try to observe the projectile that comes out and the forces acting on it," said the professor.
"Alright, Ma'am."
"Ready, Ma'am."
The professor then gave the activation signal to the cannon.
"Boom..."
The cannonball quickly shot out from the muzzle, soaring upwards with great force and speed. The female professor then made a hand gesture, gathering something from the empty air and pushing it down.
"Ah..."
"We're moving..."
The students' bodies were suddenly lifted upwards at high speed, moving at the same speed as the cannonball.
"Wow... has time slowed down?"
"Yes, it seems so, but our movements are still normal."
All the students could see the slow motion of the cannonball, the wind being split by it, and the friction between the projectile and the air. They could observe all these details up close. Unlike watching a video, seeing it firsthand with their own eyes was truly amazing.
"You see, initially the projectile has a force of 450,000 joules. When this 10 kg projectile is shot upwards, it will increasingly lose its initial force due to gravity and air resistance in a certain space," explained the middle-aged female professor.
"Pay close attention to how much force the projectile loses every few meters."
The middle-aged female professor continued to explain everything that happened to and was experienced by the cannonball as it was shot upwards. She kept explaining until the highest point the projectile could reach, where its force eventually became zero.
Even as the projectile fell, the middle-aged female professor kept explaining with all her heart, ensuring that all the students understood what force, gravity, speed, etc., were.
However, during her explanation, the environment suddenly shifted back to the classroom setting. All the students were still seated in their places. The previously dark classroom was now bright again, and the round ball in the center had stopped spinning and dimmed.
"Alright, thank you all for attending our first class. See you next week," said the middle-aged female professor while packing up her equipment.
"Thank you, Ma'am."
"Thank you."
Ema, who was in the middle of the classroom seating area, stared sharply at Walter, very annoyed that he had caused all the commotion earlier.
"If only this idiot hadn't acted up," said Ema, clenching her fists.
"Princess, don't think about it," said Evan, trying to calm her down beside her.
Meanwhile, at the front, Nita had already finished packing up her things. Nayla was also ready.
"Let's go home," Nita said to Nayla, a bit hurriedly.
"What? Going home already?" Nayla asked, surprised.
"Yes, let's not delay any longer..."
They quickly passed through the rows of seats and walked out of the classroom.
All the other students were also packing up their things and getting ready to leave. Walter, who was currently reading a chat panel in front of him, was no exception.
- (Hilman): How was your lecture, son?
- (Walter): Pretty good... what's up?
- (Hilman): Come home immediately, the scouting team found a goblin island of 3 km in size.
Reading about the goblins his father mentioned, a wide smile appeared on Walter's face.
"Treasure again, I hope there's a light gem," Walter said hopefully.

After class ended, Nita and Nayla immediately left the classroom. They walked quickly down the crowded corridor. Every few moments, Nita and Nayla passed by groups of students who were about to enter the class.
The campus system at New Life University didn't have long lecture hours, only about 2 hours. This was because the material taught was the main subject according to their major. Besides, if one wanted to become a researcher, following a regular campus program was the wrong choice.
Nita and Nayla walked down the classroom corridor for a few minutes, then entered one of the open elevators.
Inside the elevator, Nita observed Nayla, who was daydreaming with a blank stare.
"What did you think of the professor's explanation earlier, Nay?" Nita asked casually.
"Hahaha... yeah, the explanation was good," Nayla replied with a thin smile. Her mind was still thinking about the material that had been explained earlier. She was still doubting herself, wondering why she couldn't understand any of the material explained by the professor.
"It's okay, it's normal for the first day of school," Nita said, trying to reassure Nayla.
After passing through various campus areas for a while, they finally arrived at the parking lot. Nayla rummaged through her bag to find her car keys, while Nita looked around, trying to remember where they had parked their car that morning.
"Ah, there it is," Nita said, pointing to their blue sedan parked in the corner of the lot. They hurried toward the car.
From the appearance of Nita's car, even someone who didn't know about cars could tell it was very expensive. Its design was sleek with beautiful curves. Additionally, the car hovered 10 cm above the ground, with a bright blue light glowing from underneath.
After opening the door, they both got into the car and fastened their seatbelts. Nayla took the driver's seat while Nita sat next to her. Nayla started the engine, and the smooth sound of the engine was heard. They immediately drove out of the campus parking lot.
The city streets were quite busy with heavy traffic. Nayla drove carefully, paying attention to every traffic light and vehicle around her.
Meanwhile, Nita opened the window and felt the refreshing breeze.
"Ah... so refreshing."
"So beautiful..."
Nita inhaled the fresh, pollution-free air with a peaceful expression.
The futuristic city atmosphere, with technology at every corner, further enhanced the beauty of the City of Life. Flying cars and objects whizzed through the air, flying buses hovered calmly, and magnificent skyscrapers stood tall everywhere. Blue holograms were seen all around, providing information and entertainment to the city's residents.
"In less than a month, the city that my brother and I built has grown this big," Nita murmured as she looked at the buildings along the road.
"What will it be like in a year?" Nita asked with great hope.
"It will definitely be a hundred... no, a thousand times more advanced than its current state, Nit," said Nayla from the driver's seat.
"Yeah... I hope so."
With that, Nita and Nayla navigated through the city to return to the main City Hall.
