Floating Island - Triple S Talent

Chapter 138: Visiting the Central Control Tower

Nowadays, people understood that being a ruler and building an island required not just immense power, but also substantial wealth, relationships, and a vast community. Without these, it was impossible to survive the competition among other rulers.

Even now, minor rulers with islands just tens of kilometers wide struggled to defend against Hunters from top alliances. Becoming a Hunter and taking shelter under the strongest rulers, like the leaders of the top 10 alliances, greatly enhanced the progression of one's strength.

"Yeah, sounds good. So, can you now be called a Hunter?" Lein said casually, still enjoying the tender rendang on his plate.

"Yes, that's right, but it's still just a trend. It hasn't become an official stance among society," Nita replied.

Hearing Nita's response, Lein nodded in understanding. He didn't concern himself too much with such minor things. He wanted humans to be creative, to advance their civilization. The only thing he did not want was for civilization to be destroyed.

Initially, Lein didn't feel the sense of responsibility for the human race as strongly as he did now. At first, he only viewed humans as his biggest competition. But now, after the start of the interracial war event, Lein realized how insignificant humans were in the eyes of higher races.

Lein despised the feeling of being oppressed. He was doing everything he could to elevate the human race to the highest in the universe.

"Brother, today I'm going to attend college. After that, I'll visit Sister Laras's house to hang out."

"Alright... do whatever you want."

With that, the two siblings continued their meal until 7 AM. Nita stayed home for a while to do some things, while Lein left the town hall to check on the current state of his Life City.

On the main street of the City of Life, Lein sat in the back seat of his car, observing the surroundings leisurely.

His destination this time was to visit the Central Control Tower, commonly referred to as CCT. The CCT is a building where all operations of Lein's main island are managed and centralized.

This building was initially constructed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the island's development. Relying solely on Lein's thoughts and the system's simple interface panel was not enough to produce accurate data on the island's growth.

With this building in place, Lein gained a better understanding of the island's development, allowing him to confidently construct buildings or manage urban areas.

"Sir, we will arrive in 3 minutes," said the driver in the front. His eyes were focused on the road, not daring to be negligent.

Lein nodded and waited in silence. The city view was as usual, with people happily engaging in their activities, safe and comfortable.

Occasionally, foreign tourists could be seen exploring. They appeared to be very happy, sometimes stopping to ask locals for directions.

However, these conversations often started with opening the system panel first. Yes, Indonesians were generally not very fluent in English, so they used the system for translation.

"Yeah… Indonesians are very lazy when it comes to education," Lein sighed deeply.

Lein's English level was actually quite poor and could be considered inadequate. He could only manage basic everyday words. Anything beyond that was beyond him.

Three minutes finally passed. After passing through a large archway, a towering structure became visible in the center of the area.

Lein's private car continued along the patterned stone road, passing through beautiful garden surroundings, and finally stopped in front of the tall tower after a few turns.

"Please, sir," a woman in a formal suit opened the door, inviting Lein to step out of the car.

Lein got out and observed his surroundings.

In front of the building was a vast garden filled with beautiful flowers and accessories like fountains and statues. There were also playgrounds and relaxing benches.

Shifting his gaze to the building, Lein saw a wide staircase with dozens of steps. The tower was supported by large pillars at regular intervals.

Seeing it up close, Lein estimated the circular base of the tower to be about 50 meters wide. It was grand and majestic.

"Lead the way," Lein said to the female officer beside him.

The female officer immediately walked towards the building and jumped up the stairs.

Huh...

Even though she was just an officer, the woman had activated her system and possessed enough strength to leap over dozens of steps directly to the tower's entrance.

"Heh…" Lein smiled and chuckled internally. He found it amusing to see a beautiful woman in a formal, neat outfit performing such a jump. It was a rare sight.

Ignoring Lein's odd gaze, the female officer went through the security gate. Lein followed behind her, passing through the gate without any hindrance.

"Can this security gate be made larger? So it doesn't have to be so conspicuous?" Lein pondered aloud.

He felt uncomfortable with the security gates in every major building. He wondered why inspections couldn't be conducted discreetly and within larger areas.

"I'll order someone to handle it later," Lein said casually. He then passed through the inspection gate and headed toward the tower's main entrance. The entrance was wide and tall enough to accommodate an elephant.

"Wow…"

At first glance, Lein could only feel immense admiration. He hadn't expected that the building, once very simple during its inauguration, had now become so grand and advanced.

Shiny steel pillars in the central area supported the ceiling of the first floor firmly. In each corner, there were glass rooms with several officers inside, operating a large computer device with many strange buttons.

Lein noticed that in every corner, some ordinary citizens were queuing for something. Yes, the tower was accessible to the public. Interactive kiosks allowed ordinary citizens to access information, pay bills, and request services.

In the early days, many visitors to Lein's island used to submit land rental requests at this building. There were also citizens who came to pay their rent bills every few days.

"This is the first floor, sir. This floor serves as a Service Center," the female officer explained to Lein about the first floor.

Lein nodded, listening attentively to the officer's explanation.
