Chapter 154 - Get Your A** Down Here!
Growl~
*Gulp*
"That’s some big a** wolf" Harrison said with a tremble, as he looked at the towering wolf before him.
"You men and women did a good job surviving this far! There’s only three days left before the twenty days is up! So get as much rest as you can tonight or take this chance to get yourselves stronger, because tomorrow, we’ll finally leave this forest and head back home!" General Ouki said to his men as he slowly strolled around the campsite with his beast wolf following behind him.
"UOHH!"
"Finally, we can leave this place" a hunter among the group of remaining users said.
"Yeah, but it’s a pity that there’s not even village here or else I would’ve stayed inside this place and raised my levels with the monsters around here instead of running around and avoiding some of the monster territories that those annoying, arrogant and tyrannical guilds had occupied for themselves" a champion with a huge sword on his back said angrily, remembering his humiliation that he suffered from them.
"Yeah, they’re so arrogant even though their only small and medium sized guilds, and even though the nine major guilds do it too, but they at least doesn’t forbid the independent players like us from hunting the monsters inside those places unlike those those bastards, che!" said a Priestess with an annoyed look on her face.
Michael just shook his head listening to them, and at the same time, he had a wicked grin on his face because he had just heard from Tony that they have been harassing the people from Black Skull lately, which has hampered some of their progress regarding conquering dungeons and monopolizing monster areas.
And at the same time, they had already racked up a lot of reputation in the game followed by money and gold!
But Michael was also worried about something though, it was because there’s been a rumor flying around lately that Kunlun Guild, one of the nine major guilds based in a nation called Huaxia had managed to secure a piece of land with a land deed in the Kingdom of Jotun, and that they are planning to build a village over it, and maybe into a town or city overtime.
And if that rumor is true, then it would be the very first village that was erected by the players and would certainly boost the reputation of the guild and where there might even be a chance that they would even get a small noble title like a Baronet or something which would certainly cement their foundation and power in that kingdom.
Michael wouldn’t have cared if it was true or not, but the Kunlun Guild or more like the group behind them are Michael’s hated enemy, as he had a personal vendetta with them from his future timeline.
So this guild having an advantage over the other guilds doesn’t sit well with him, but he can’t do anything even if he wanted to as the Kingdom of Jotun is a kingdom at the coastline at the east of the Eastern Continent, at the very edge of the land.
’Nevermind, it’s better to leave them alone. It’s not like I would be facing against them again in this life’ Michael thought, as he knew that the chances that the strings of fate would intertwined them again is almost negligible or even nonexistent now as long he doesn’t meet or get himself involved with that person.
Night came.
The users have started to leave the camp one by one as they went back to the real world.
"See ya later" Emma said to Michael with a huge smile on her face before she disappeared along with her cousin, Harrison.
"I’ll see you at the party tonight" Casey said as she handed the rabbit back to Michael before she added, "Ohh..make sure to treat him well"
"Sure" Michael chuckled as he looked at Casey who slowly turned into motes of light.
"Hey, I forgot to tell you earlier that Dylan wanted to tell you that you should pick us up instead because you have a car! See ya!" Tina quickly said before she disappeared and didn’t even wait for Michael’s response to what she had just said.
"Bastard, couldn’t he had just told me sooner?" Michael clicked his tongue and tried to call Dylan from his friend list, but the call seems to be not working right now as he would receive a notice or warning from the system.
The player you are trying to reach is currently unavailable!
"Huh? The heck, this has never happened before" Michael clicked his tongue in annoyance and just decided to leave the game and instead call Dylan back in the real world.
*****
"So what’s up Mike?" a woman’s familiar voice sounded from the other side of the phone.
"What do you mean what’s up? Why do you have Dylan’s phone again Tina? Where’s your brother?" Michael said as he quickly recognized the voice.
"Ohh..he’s still inside the game" Tina replied.
"What? He’s still inside the game?" Michael said, as he suddenly felt confused as he thought earlier that Dylan had already left the game because he can’t contact him inside.
"Yup"
Meanwhile.
Inside a forbidden area.
"God freaking dammit!" Dylan cursed while panting with his back against the wall, as he sat down on the ground with bones of different creatures were scattered around him.
"What kind of shitty test is this? It’s more like a deathtrap!" Dylan shouted angrily, as he slowly stood up from the ground and started walking forward again.
"This better be worth it with how much effort I gave just to get through here!"
Dylan slowly made his way towards a huge gate made of some kind of a high quality wood and metal.
In the middle of the gate has an engraved head that looks like the combination of a person and a dragon, and the gate would slowly open as Dylan got closer and closer towards the gate.
Dylan hesitated for a brief moment when he saw how dark the other side of the door is, but then he just gritted his teeth when he remembered how much he and his team had sacrificed just to reach the end of this, and so he bravely walked inside the unknown darkness as the gate slowly closed itself after him.
Boom!
One hour later.
Michael had just arrived in front of Dylan’s place with Tom’s car, his old man’s Urus Lamborghini that he had just borrowed while they are currently away.
"Dylan! Mike’s here! Hurry up and get your a** down here!" Tina quickly called out to her brother from their front porch the moment she spotted the familiar car.
"I’m coming! Geez, I just got out of the shower!" Dylan yelled back from inside their house.
Dylan came out of the front door, who’s still in the process of wearing his checkered shirt.
"You’re not a girl but you’re so slow" Tina said, as she started walking towards the car.
"Shut up" Dylan said as he followed behind her.
Bam! Bam!
Dylan sat in the passenger seat while Tina took the backseat.
