Chapter 196
C196 – Jiangchen Has Arrived
“Successfully acquired. Empirical value x2000000 obtained.”
Loong Chen retrieved the empirical value dropped by Dracula upon his demise, discarding it as if it were mere refuse.
The bewildered Blood Emperor finally grasped the situation.
“You were aware of my ambush. This was intentional!”
Blood Emperor’s handsome visage contorted with visible veins, exuding a fierce demeanor.
Dracula, the mightiest prince of the Blood Race, succumbing to death dealt a significant blow to their ranks.
What stoked his fury further was being manipulated by this human to slay Dracula.
“Realizing it now seems rather belated, don’t you think?”
Loong Chen’s smile turned icy as he launched a punch at Blood Emperor.
“I’ll end you!”
Blood Emperor roared, reciprocating with a punch of his own. The clash of fists unleashed a surge of formidable energy into Loong Chen’s body.
The immense force propelled Loong Chen back a dozen paces.
“Divine Might!”
Eventually, Loong Chen unleashed the Divine Might, mitigating the majority of the force before halting.
“What an immense power! Is this the might of an Emperor Level?”
Loong Chen’s expression shifted slightly. It marked his maiden encounter with an Emperor Level opponent.
Despite the seemingly slender distinction between an Emperor Level and a Peak of King Level, the gap was substantial.
Comparatively, if a Peak of King Level warrior’s physical prowess measured at 50 million, an Emperor Level warrior’s stood at 100 million.
The discrepancy in strength between them doubled.
“Even if my ambush failed, your demise is inevitable!”
Blood Emperor roared, his caution prevailing. Despite his Emperor Level strength, he still intended to rely on subterfuge to confront Loong Chen safely.
Unbeknownst to him, his stratagem was exposed, becoming a tool for Loong Chen to vanquish Dracula.
“Initially, I contemplated granting you a swift demise, but now I’ve reconsidered. You shall be imprisoned within the Blood Wheel Hell, serving as my Blood Race’s eternal blood slave!”
Blood Emperor quivered, a dense, blood-red mist enveloping the surroundings instantaneously.
“Within the confines of the Blood Wheel Hell, I am invulnerable!”
Blood Emperor swiftly transformed into a crimson silhouette, melding into the Blood Qi, and vanished from sight.
Loong Chen frowned.
“Domain ability?”
Loong Chen was taken aback to discover that the Blood Emperor possessed a domain ability.
Acquiring a domain ability went beyond merely enhancing one’s physical strength; it required deep insight and understanding.
It’s rare for warriors at the peak of King Level or even Emperor Level to master a domain ability within their lifetime. Remarkably, Loong Chen, a Level 6 Mid Rank warrior, had already grasped two distinct domain powers.
Loong Chen recognized the Blood Emperor’s Blood Wheel Hell as a specific domain ability designed to augment strength.
Domain abilities varied in nature; Loong Chen’s Earth Domain served to suppress foes, whereas his Thunder Prison specialized in offensive capabilities.
The Blood Wheel Hell not only bolstered the Blood Emperor’s fighting prowess but also enabled him to conceal his presence effectively.
An Emperor Level warrior lurking unseen poses a significantly greater threat than one who confronts openly.
This stealth could make their strikes unexpectedly lethal.
Suddenly, the Blood Emperor materialized behind Loong Chen, transforming his arm into a demonic blood claw and swiping at Loong Chen’s back.
Sensing imminent danger, Loong Chen instinctively teleported several meters away without a moment’s hesitation.
Immediately after, he directed his sword towards his previous location, unleashing the Nirvana Thunder infused with the Law of Thunder, which struck the Blood Emperor’s chest like a lethal blade, leaving a gaping wound.
“An attack imbued with the essence of death? Fascinating.”
The Blood Emperor mused aloud, sporting a scornful grin.
“Sadly, such tactics are futile against me, given the Blood Race’s immortal nature.”
His chest wound began to mend as he spoke, healing from the damage inflicted.
The deathly aura clinging to his injury was aggressively expelled.
The regenerative capabilities of the Blood Race were astoundingly potent!
“Your blood carries immense power. Devouring you would surely amplify my strength significantly.”
With a look of intense desire, the Blood Emperor gazed at Loong Chen.
Loong Chen looked at him vigilantly.
From the recent conflict, Long Chen gained insight into the Blood Emperor’s capabilities.
Defeating him on his own was out of the question for Long Chen, yet he still possessed numerous strategies to employ.
“It seems I must resort to the Vast Heaven Pagoda,” Long Chen contemplated.
The Vast Heaven Pagoda had previously managed to overpower Jiangchen, and given that the Blood Emperor seemed less formidable than Jiangchen, Long Chen believed using it would be effective against the Blood Emperor.
Consequently, employing the Vast Heaven Pagoda to subdue the Blood Emperor should not present any difficulties.
Nonetheless, since the Vast Heaven Pagoda is limited to subduing a single individual at a time, Long Chen preferred to avoid using it unless absolutely necessary.
Yet, the circumstances left Long Chen with no alternative but to deploy the Vast Heaven Pagoda.
“Hand over your blood to me!”
The Blood Emperor emitted an eerie shriek and charged at Long Chen once more.
Taking a moment to steel himself, Long Chen prepared to activate the Vast Heaven Pagoda.
However, just then, a voice he recognized spoke up from behind him.
“Your blood belongs to me.”
Before Long Chen had the chance to look back, he was confronted by the Blood Emperor’s silhouette, with the Blood Emperor’s blood-stained claws poised to pierce Long Chen’s chest.
Yet, as the crimson talons neared Loong Chen’s heart by merely ten centimeters, the Blood Emperor seemed to suffer an assault, propelling his body backwards until he hit the ground.
In that moment, a figure Loong Chen recognized materialized before him.
“Jiangchen?”
His eyes widened in astonishment, Loong Chen stared at the winged individual before him.
This was Jiangchen, the Zombie King, whom he hadn’t encountered for an extended period.
Loong Chen had envisioned numerous scenarios, but the thought of this individual arriving to rescue him was unforeseen.
“How were you aware of my location?”
Loong Chen inquired, to which Jiangchen responded with his signature serene smile.
“Having consumed your blood, your scent allows me to locate you, no matter how far you flee.”
Finding no words to respond, Loong Chen was astounded that Jiangchen could detect him despite the distance.
“And your purpose for being here?”
Loong Chen questioned further.
“You vowed to provide me with a bowl of your blood weekly. It’s time to uphold that promise.”
After a quick calculation, Loong Chen realized seven days had indeed passed, noting Jiangchen’s precise timing.
Suddenly, a sinister grin crept across his face as his eyes rolled.
“Drinking my blood isn’t the issue; I need your assistance now,” he asserted.
“But you already agreed to drink my blood,” Jiangchen countered.
Loong Chen hadn’t anticipated Jiangchen’s swift rejection.
Nonetheless, Loong Chen had foreseen this, so he nonchalantly remarked, “Refusing to aid me means when the Blood Emperor drains me entirely, there won’t be any blood left.”
Jiangchen’s eyebrows shot up upon hearing this, casting a peculiar glance at Loong Chen, who resorted to leveraging his own life as a bargaining chip.
Despite Jiangchen’s initial resistance, Loong Chen’s threat appeared to wield influence. Jiangchen wouldn’t permit others to taint his blood supply.
