Chapter 177 - Crazy Slaughter
As he still had time before his lecture with Bazz, Khal decided to hunt for Beasts on Moon Mountain as the night was already approaching.
But obviously only after he ate and filled his stomach really well in one of the most luxurious restaurants in Moon City, the Lunar Tavern.
"Now that I have money, those 3 Golden Coins felt nothing at all." thought Khal, but knew thinking his money was infinite was a fool's thinking.
He clearly understood that if he decided to spend his currency blindly like an idiot, he could easily find himself in square one once again hence made sure not to eat too much in that place.
At the time when Khal reached Moon Mountain the sky has already turned dark while the moon was fully visible on the sky in its full glory!
"Without Rubie, it will be tough to find creatures so I should use my new power." thought Khal and activated his Bloodshed Touch.
Immediately as he did, his sight turned black and white, while in the distance, right through trees, bushes, and rock, Khal was able to see several crimson silhouettes moving here and there.
"Only Beasts on the lower Stages while none of them close to the Fourth Cultivation Stage," mumbled Khal as he watched the crimson figures in the distance.
Thanks to their contours and the way they seemed to be moving, he instantly recognized what type of Beasts they were together with their Cultivation Base.
"I should go higher. The higher I go the stronger Beasts I will meet, right?" asked Khal, and only after scanning his surroundings to make sure no one was following him nor was there any danger lurking around him did he start to ascend.
Sometime later, Khal reached the middle part of the mountain, while several, bigger types of creatures were visible in the distance, seemingly Beasts with an appearance of a bison.
"Iron Feet Bull? Perfect prey to kill first," exclaimed Khal in a low voice as he knew Iron Feet Bulls were quite a sedate type of Beasts just like the Moon Frogs.
They never attacked if they didn't feel threatened, but unfortunately, its enemy this time was Khal, who wanted to reach the Sixth Cultivation Stage as fast as possible, thus peace was never an option!
With a fast and smooth move, Khal appeared next to the Beast, and with a single strike with his weapon he killed it; the creature didn't even have time to cry out before its vision turned completely dark.
Once killed, Khal consumed its Beast Essence, pushing his power units from 559 to 571 as he got 12 Beast Essence from his first prey!
"Not a bad amount from a creature on the Fourth Stage." thought Khal and without hesitation began to run toward his next victim, that was still oblivious that its death was approaching rapidly!
Khal's body flashed among the trees and rock like a ghost, killing and collecting Beast's Soul and Essence as if he was the reaper himself!
He killed several types of creatures and thanks to his Bloodshed Touch ability that let him track any Beast almost in an unlimited range, he was literally on a killing spree!
He was like a crazy slaughter whose presence alone brought death to his victims, leaving no chance for them to be able to survive once he locked his sight on them!
The night went relatively like this, without any kind of problem or dilemma, and Khal was able to improve his strength quite quickly.
Under a mere 5 hours of non-stop killing and consumption, Khal's 571 units skyrocketed all the way to 1173 units! This was a crazy jump that's for sure!
For the Sixth Stage, one needed 2500 units of Beast Essence, so if things went on like this, he was quite sure he will reach that amount in two days if not sooner!
"Tsk... It seems time is over," exclaimed Khal with regret, noticing as the moon was already below the horizon while the sun was high up in the sky.
"Well, considering that I killed like a maniac and pushed myself all the way to 1197 units, this day was more than successful." checking that there were no more Beasts outside, Khal deactivated his eyes and walked back to Moon Mountain.
On his way back, however, he made sure to continue reading the Record of All Realms, while with his Heaven's Eyes he scanned his surroundings to avoid unnecessary dangers.

Inside the Blacksmith Department, Bazz was currently forging a piece of metal with a serious gaze when suddenly Khal stepped through the door, his face already holding a slight smile.
"I'm here, Master! What should I do today?" asked Khal, but to his surprise, Bazz didn't answer but continued to forge, his face never losing concentration not even for a split second!
"Such a powerful concentration! I can even feel the tension in the air!" Khal seemingly shocked by Bazz's level of profession decided to wait on the side in silence while examining his every move closely and intently.
Clang!
Soon, a sharp sound reverberated in the air, while gentle white light began to flow out of the piece of metal Bazz was forming.
"What is that?" Khal looked confused as he knew Bazz has already pulled that metal's Soul Essence out, but soon realized what that white light was.
"Spirit Essence? That is the Spirit Essence that can be created once one succeeded with the Soul Essence Tempering?"
BAM!
And just as his voice fell, a powerful shockwave broke forth from the metal, pushing several tools and objects off the tables as though they weighed nothing!
"Essence Burst! So this how an Essence Burst feel?" Khal immediately recognized the powerful shockwave that carried a kind of unique power, Spirit Essence!
"Phew... I finally did it. This baby looked easier to forge at first glance but seems I was wrong." sighed Bazz as he picked the chunk up and began to inspect it.
"Considering that it's High-Quality steel, it held way too many Soul Threads that I almost failed to temper it! I must inspect it before continuing to forging it," mumbled Bazz and put it back down, but immediately after he did, he noticed Khal's figure on his side and frowned.
"You are already here?"
"I mean, shouldn't I?" asked Khal, surprised to hear Bazz say that.
'...' Bazz remained silent and after pondering for a while just waved his hand and shook his head.
"Well, never mind. I was just confused for a bit as I thought it was still yesterday."
"Yesterday?"
"Yeah," nodded Bazz and put his forged metal into a box on the side while talking, "Yesterday when you went away, I began to forge this Dragon Steel without stop. But because everything seemed to pass so fast, I thought it was still yesterday, but it seems no; happens a few times when I concentrate too much, so sorry."
'When I concentrate too much... Just how hard did this guy concentrate to lose the track of time?' wondered Khal, but still smiled and shook his head, "It's not a problem at all, at least I was able to learn a few things while watching."
"Oh? Really?" asked Bazz immediately and threw him a piece of steel which surface was full of golden scales, almost akin to an ancient dragon!
"Then let me see what you have learned!"
