Chapter 195: Palkus’ Journey! 12
"You must be from the Valenstein empire." Palkus who was walking behind Allan, heard someone speak to him and turned to see who it was.
"Ah... Yeah, I am." Seeing that it was Lorea, the witch, turned right back to where he was looking.
'Another pair of DAMN!' Palkus shook his head internally as the image he just saw was burned in his memory.
"Oh really? I've never visited there, I heard it's pretty interested." To Palkus' left, Tuskas, joined the conversation.
"Right? It's my hometown, all the people there are kind, and whatever you want, you will find there for sure." Hearing people talk about his hometown made Palkus proud.
The valenstein empire was the newest empire to be formed, but it was undoubtedly the strongest. Most people who went there did not want to leave anymore from how easy it was to find a job, eat, drink, and live in general. They also had no problem with transportation, partying, food, housing, and most importantly, realm progression.
The beach was there, the mountains were there, and the forest was there. The guild had long created their branch there and one could become an adventurer there or whatever other profession they preferred and live as leisurely as they wanted. With the abundance of dungeons who have only began to actively sprout out after Draco's ascension, finding monsters to hunt was the easiest thing ever.
Not to mention, it was once called the monster continent.
"I've been there." Laff, who was behind the group, guarding the rear and walking leisurely, joined the conversation.
"Really? How was your experience there?" Palkus turned to look at the oldest man of the group and asked.
"That place changed me. My whole changed after I set foot there." Laff replied.
The group got interested, it's been so long since Laff ever recounted something about himself.
"Why is that?" Tuskina who was excited to hear the adventures of her idol asked.
"I was young when I went there, around 30 years ago. I was still enthusiastic and the empire was within its first phases after the ascension of its founder." Laff continued. The empire was still considered one of the strongest then but many things were different than they were now, after all, it was before the relation between the surface and the ocean world was formed.
"I was an adventurer even then, and I was haughty so me and my crew decided to explore a dungeon, from the information we found about it, it was an S-rank dungeon... called the Groth of Azeroth." Laff stopped for a second before he looked forward at the group, his eyes looked dead.
"At first, it was an easy way down; we cleared the floors like there was no tomorrow, but then, when we started approaching the higher floors... we discovered something." Laff stopped.
"The dungeon... was owned by the Celestial of Chaos." His voice turned hoarse, and remembering the terrors he went through and how he was the only one who managed to come out alive, made him shiver all the way down.
"Demons, all kinds of demons, starting from the 50th floor, started appearing, there were higher-ranked demons than there should have been and us, only being B-rank adventurers at the time, could only run for our lives." Laff continued.
"We only needed to return to the previous boss room; the second we did that, we could have escaped easily, but... The last floor boss appeared." Laff then stopped, not continuing anymore.
"And?" Tuskina wanting to know what happened, shakily asked.
"And... and? What and? I- I don't reme-" Laff suddenly stopped speaking, his eyes started changing and from his back, one black wing and another white sprouted out.
"Oh? Why do I feel the signature of the master coming from you, young man." Out of nowhere, and without warning, Laff turned to look at Palkus and spoke.
"Hmm?" Palkus, hearing the words spoken by Laff, was confused.
"I heard he ascended; are you his blessed one by any chance?" Laff asked, his entire demeanor changing.
"Hey, Laff, this isn't funny; what's happening?" Tuskas, worried about the way Laff was speaking asked.
"What's wrong, guys?" Allan stopped and turned back to see that his group had long stopped walking and returned to check on them.
"Don't ask me. buff guy over there just suddenly started talking weirdly." Adena, the dwarf girl, just shrugged her little shoulder and replied, not bothering to care about what was happening.
"You guys shut up and listen, I think I heard something interesting." Lorea stepped back a few steps and told Allan and Adena.
"Hmm?" The two were confused.
{Chaos Analysis} muttering under his breath, Palkus used his analysis spell as information regarding Laff was directly sent to his brain.
"So you're Azeroth? Nice to meet you, I've never heard of you before, but I can see you have a connection to Master. I was told not to disclose anything yet, so if you would please..." Palkus didn't continue speaking.
"I see... Very well. It was a nice coincidence to meet you here. I didn't think this vessel would be more and more useful, now I can actually be of us instead of being considered an escapee. Haha." Azeroth laughed.
"What about Laff?" Palkus didn't joke around with Azeroth, there was still something more important at hand.
"I was just using his body as a vessel to get out of the dungeon and lost track of time. Let me just..." Azeroth explained. His body started splitting in half, Laff's original body returned to normal and before he could completely fall to the ground, the adventurer regained his balance and stood up.
"Not bad." Azeroth, who had changed back to his fallen angel form, nodded, seeing how Laff caught himself up.
The reason he woke up was because of his sudden outburst of emotions, Feeling that, Azeroth spread his senses and managed to see Palkus so he took control.
