Chapter 163: [Bonus] Leona Lionheart!
Leona was the direct descendant of the most influential family of the Lionmen.
She was also the number one prodigy of this generation's beastmen. All her life, she never met her match, and lived a boring life of training and hard work, striving to consume her boredom with blood and sweat.
Her father was an ancestor of the Lionman clan who died inside the 4th tribulation of the tower because he was too stubborn to give up.
Her mother was residing within the tower, aiming to fulfill what her husband failed to, and she was currently preparing for her fourth tribulation.
She, who was raised by her maids and tutors, who forced her to concentrate on studying and progressing in the realms after seeing her talent and potential, felt like inside her was an empty void that nothing could fill.
That was why she grew to be arrogant and violent, her femininity had long died, and what remained was a crude woman who only loved fighting and training all her thousand years of life.
This continued on, and when she went to prison and met no one who could match her, she focused on missions and protecting her reputation as the strongest Lord at the time.
Haughty and horny fellows both came to either ask for her position or hand and the only way she would accept was by fighting them.
One after another, month after month, no one managed to beat her, and sometime along the way, they started calling her the 'Blood Smeared Leona'. She just went with it; it wasn't bad anyway, and she secretly liked it.
That was until some handsome bastard told her to join his party, thinking that it was just one of those horny guys. She didn't even care about him, she cared more about the food and listening to the elders' requests.
Who would have thought her whole life would change from then on? Who would have even thought 'she' would lose?
Unfortunately, or rather, fortunately for her, she lost.
Traumatically at that, but she managed to be the right hand of someone who was going down history as the strongest and fastest prodigy to reach the celestial rank; the first Emperor to completely beat up an imprisoned; the monster who was recently discovered to have conquered all six continents and beaten up The Anomaly, who was previously thought to be the Supreme Genius of this generation.
He appeared out of nowhere and turned the world on its head in the short period of 5 years.
Who would have thought? Who would have guessed? Yet it happened, and she managed to be the genius who was by his side when he achieved his most ridiculous feat—a massive participant at that.
She couldn't be prouder. And now, she was following in his footsteps to be the second fastest to become a celestial, if we count from how long it has been since she became an origin emperor.
Sure, Alexander was also doing the same, and he was far more of a prodigy than her, but after knowing him, she came to discover that he wasn't much different from him, as the true mastermind turned out to be his mother.
She looked forward to what was going to happen.
They didn't actually start long after Draco, in fact, after taking care of something, Leona and Alexander quickly headed towards the tower. Aiming to ascend it quickly.
Leone had plans of reaching the 9th tribulation before ascending, because she knew that the person she looked up to wouldn't settle for anything less.
And she was right. Leona was also not just going to settle for 9 tribulations, but in each one of them, she was going to make sure she cleared as many waves as possible.
The first tribulation of Offense was easy; she managed to run through all the first 799 waves with ease, but starting the 800th, she began to stall.
There were much easier opponents than Draco had to deal with; in fact, she managed to battle it out with the boss Draco met on the 10th wave on the 100th wave, which was quite something.
The 800th wave was against someone who used metaphorical strings to hit somewhere within her she couldn't protect, she thought it was her soul, but no, in the end she managed to guess that he was directly attacking her aura, something she had a hard time believing.
Indeed, there were all kinds of worlds and ways of offense; thus, it is a total possibility to be paired against someone whose fighting method completely opposes yours.
Not everyone is like Draco, equipped with a system that patches up all the holes he has and might have.
Fortunately, she managed to beat him in the end, all the way to the 899th wave after that.
But that's when things got trickier... The 900th wave was a mythical beast...
The exact mythical beast that her bloodline was derived from. She didn't think she would ever have to meet him, she was forced on her knees as her body worked without her being able to do anything.
The beast just smugly approached her, trying to snuff her out of existence with its paws.
The Titanic Lion covered the sky with its claws, and Leona looked up to see them rapidly approaching her, wanting to take her life.
But then she remembered the trauma Draco gave her—the chaotic entity that was the overseer who left her with no way out when Draco used it.
She thought of this and refused to go down without beating it, which was the source of her bloodline.
She was going to overcome him!
Transforming into her beast form helped her do so; her form got bulkier, her orange mark that was under her eyes got bigger and her face got beastly. Her crude orange hair became like a mane, and she rose up, catching the claws with two hands.
"I'm NOT going down without a fight!"
