Chapter 160: First Tribulation! 2
Draco and his opponent were at a standstill, with Draco's spear blocking the expert's.
The expert suddenly moved, making an unexpected turn as he tried to kick Draco away.
Draco, however, could easily guess this with his Sinful Chaos, that included properties similar to those of the deermen.
"Well, aren't you quite slow." He replied to his opponent's previous remark, blocking his kick with his legs and successfully kicking him away.
Draco wasn't lying, he expected much more from this opponent, but he was far too disappointing.
[Sinful Chaos Overload]
The air around Draco turned stale, and his opponent, who just balanced himself, stood in his place, sweating buckets.
Draco's dark aura exploded outward, scaring the shit out of the expert. His spear was surrounded with multiple colors swirling around it until it shone brightly.
Draco brought his spear back, making his opponent move out of the way, unfortunately for him, Draco teleported right next to him.
*Fwshhhh* *ZOOOOOOOOOOOOM*
Thousands of miles in front of Draco turned into a wasteland where the trace of a large beam was obvious. Crackling thunder, burning red dirt, and dirt clouds were all one could see as Draco's opponent was disintegrated out of existence.
[Wave 11 of 1000 Starts Now!]
Draco watched as the plane returned to its previous state before his opponents showed up.
"Tsk, this is definitely not expected." Draco clicked his tongue as he looked at the smug expert who reappeared... an army of his clones surrounding Draco.
"Not even for me." The countless clones of the expert spoke at the same time, making the grassy plane and the starry sky vibrate.
"Well, I don't have all day. You deal with it." Draco looked up at the Overseer, who was gazing down at the army and it didn't even take a second for the army to disappear.
This continued all the way to the 100th wave, where something different that had Draco stop happened.
It was once again a single opponent, but this one was far stronger than those before...
"Well, well, another genius gracing the universe. Isn't that nice?" The one who appeared was a middle aged uncle wearing a white robe, and Draco knew he was no Origin Emperor.
"A Tribulation Overlord." Draco squinted his eyes.
Who would have thought? Tribulation Overlords were simply Origin Emperors who went through the first trial and had a satifactory result.
As once stated, Trials were different from Emperor to Emperor, and this was why the expert told Draco that it was rare for an Emperor to reach the wave where they could find him, had he known he was only Draco's 10th wave he would have given up then and there.
Not like he didn't when he died over a hundred times with countless bodies.
What was important to know was that one didn't have to reach the 1000th wave to successfully become a Tribulation Overlord; in fact, just clearing the 99th wave was more than enough.
However, the higher one went, the more results they would get.
And Draco, wasn't satisfied with just passing, no, he had to be unprecedented, he had to get the highest results and be blessed with the grandest rewards ever.
and that is why this Tribulation overlord shall not stop him.
[Malicious Ending]
Out of Draco's back, crimson chains shot out, launching themselves at the Tribulation Overlord who was surprised by the Evil feeling he felt from the spell.
[Dao of Pain: Unfeeling]
'A cultivator?' Draco hearing his opponents words thought in his mind, it wasn't far seeing as the tower was a universal monument.
'Oh well, not like he's surviving.' Draco threw his thoughts to the back of his mind and just enjoyed the show.
the chains launched by Draco reached the cultivator in no time as if they teleported, the cultivator stood there, fearless as if Draco couldn't harm him.
Unfortunately, the spell wasn't there to cause pain. It was there to kill.
"Huh?"
*trrrr*
The second the chains reached the Overlord they first caught his arms and legs, then his upper body, and finally, his neck.
"Tick, Tack, Tock." Draco seeing this clicked his tongue with a smile waiting for the expected result to play out.
The cultivator struggled to get out. He tried to move his hands, his legs, he tried to teleport, he tried to scream but to no avail.
The chains tightened and tightened making the cultivator's eyes widen in fear. Then... they started to move
"Shkaboom." Draco muttered out as the scene of the cultivator being separated into multiple parts and his blood splattering everywhere played out.
Not even a moment later, he disappeared.
"I guess only this kind of stuff can entertain me." Draco chuckled while talking to himself.
[Wave 101 of 1000 Starts Now!] The system announced on behalf of the tower as once again, multiple clones of the cultivator appeared, but Draco didn't have to deal with them when he had the Overseer.
The 200th, 300th, 400th, to the 900th wave were all kind of similar. An expert of some kind of world appeared, some cultivators, some masters of weapons, elements, or concepts, and some even beast masters.
Draco was standing on top of a headless Dragon as he gazed down at the 900th wave boss.
It was a wimpy looking kid who's main power was beast taming and his relationship with his pets was close enough for him to kneel down crying when Draco played with his Dragon and ended up separating its head from its body.
When he tried devouring it, seeing as it didn't disappear, all he got was a system message telling him that he couldn't use [Devouring].
"Well this is unexpected. Hey, kid. Can you stop crying for a second." Draco who was progressively enjoying being a bully dissed the kid while sitting on top of the kid's beast who was his father, mother, brother, and everything throughout his life.
"I'm Going To Kill You!" The kid looked up at Draco his eyes bloodshot. Out of all the bosses, this 9th Tribulation Overlord was the one who expressed the most emotions.
Draco just smiled at the threat while gazing down from his high throne.
