Chapter 109 The Greater The Danger...
Rays of light burst into the cabin, revealing the entire feature of the train as it finally exited the tunnel, leaving the academy behind.
The description of the train could now be seen and it was really unlike the trains Erian was used to seeing. Unlike the previous electric railway models, this train didn't utilize the path of an already laid out railroad to move nor did it get power from a third rail.
However, this train uses a track of its own, very similar to the tracks of a battle tank/armor tank. But these caterpillar thread wheels were massive and are divided into different segments when installed beneath the various cabins. With the train thread, one would think the train wouldn't be stable due to the uneven terrain of the jungle. Astonishingly, the train wasn't at all bumpy and was smooth no matter what terrain moved over. Unlike the previous model which could only move in one direction, this Omni-train could move in all directions.
At this moment, a cloud of nervous waves baptized the entire train as the students who had now settled down looked through their holophone for the information about the mission they are to go for.
[Information: Following the evacuation of half the population, Stardom City walls have been breached and now overrun by Colossals and Titans.]
[Mission 1: Survive.]
[Mission 2: Kill as many Titans as possible.
(Regular Titan, Regular colossus=10 blood points)
(Berserk Titan, Enhanced colossus=50 blood points)
(Mutated Titan= Mutated Colossus100 blood points)
(Armoured Titan, Single-supergene Colossals=1,000)
(Divergent Titan Duo-supergene Colossus=10,000)
(Attack Titan Triple-supergene Colossus= * * * * * * )
(Founding Titan, Motherbrid! = * * * * * * *)
[Mission 3: Helping hands (Assist the surviving residents to escape Stardom Wall) <Academy Note: At your personal risk. 1 blood point per person>]
In the middle cabin of the train, a young man with luscious dark hair that reflected back the sun ray and a bright blue eyes which contained a hint of red in the pupils sat at the back seat of this cabin, his fingers drumming rhythmically against the armrest, apparently deep in thought.
The holographic map of the city was displayed on his wrist but the map he has was only a simple one, containing a rough sketch of the city's routes. There was no indication of a building nor was there any of a river or even a hotel, only the road on the map was clear. The situation of the city is extremely dire and if he landed in a place where a strong titan or beast resided, he would most likely lose his life.
Erian thought more deeply for a while and then he tapped on a spot that was a few kilometers away from the wall. The wall had been breached and therefore broken. The Titans have taken the city as their own therefore, the streets would be littered with them.
The center of the map should be the spot with the most danger while the edges should contain less danger, which was why Erian had proceeded to choose it.
After selecting his option, Erian clenched his fist softly against the handle of his huge backpack. This was the one he had prepared previously when he intended to head into the Blood volcano but was stopped. Now it became useful in this impromptu mission.
"Hoooooong!"
The train released a loud sound which instantly woke all of the students up. They were already close to the city. Different emotions ran through the faces of several students from anxiety to fear to even excitement while some felt indifferent.
In the blink of an eye, the radiant sun disappeared as though a massive hand has grabbed a hold of it. But when the student checked, it wasn't a hand, but a massive wall. A majestic wall that stood stably like a mountain, towering into the skies as though shielding its inside from the universe!
But even with its magnificence, the thick wall currently contained massive holes and cracks in them, something that seem impossible to breakthrough since the walls had been built using the bones of countless Titans and leviathans, rendering the wall basically impenetrable by ordinary titans.
Erian's expression was dead serious as he pondered. "The walls are impenetrable to ordinary titans. Only a great Levithian or a Colossal could have the ability to breach the wall. I should be more careful."
Erian licked his lips and a trace of excitement appeared in his eyes. "But the greater the danger, the greater the rewards."
He could already feel the radiation in the air was increasing in intensity and the nuclear energy was richer and extremely pure. Even as they got closer to the city, the intense radiation was climbing until it reached its peak! Ten times! The nuclear energy in the air was actually three times that of the academy! Only the blood volcano which had extremely thick nuclear energy within could beat this place.
The titan gene places enormous stress on the human body, filling and using up every gap within the human genetic structure with its own genetic structure, like an incomplete jigsaw puzzle previously filled with holes, the Titan gene filled that space since it's an alpha cell.
Nuclear techniques utilize nuclear energy to forcibly compress the cells, making pieces of jigsaw puzzle combine together to form just one piece. Which increases its strength, durability and quality in the process while allowing for more space to add more Supergenes to the body.
This process on a 3-star nuclear pulse talent would roughly take a year to three years to complete and half the time on a 4-star nuclear pulse talent before mutation can begin.
However, in this place, a month of practice could equal three months of practicing in the academy and would only require two months of practice for 4-star talents to complete the Quantization process, finally able to merge with a Supergene!
For those with talents higher than 4-star, 5-star talents and 6-star talents, this place is a blessed ground! Only a few days of practice here and the Quantization process would be complete
