Apocalypse: System of lotteries

Chapter 152 The Horror Hospital

"Welcome to the Personal Random map: The Horror Hospital."

"Complete the final boss's defeat within 24 hours, or the mission will fail. If you fail, you will remain here forever, waiting for the next survivor to rescue you. If your rescuer fails to defeat the boss, you will continue waiting..."

"Countdown: 23:58:48"

"The Horror Hospital," Ming muttered softly.

Although it was nighttime, it appeared as bright as day to his eyes. The surroundings were illuminated, and he felt no fear. He was sure this was not a copy formed from a regional upgrade and felt reassured.

To his surprise, the buildings here remained intact, albeit somewhat dilapidated. This made him think that the earthquake had been selective, preserving small areas from different parts of the world. Based on the map, this map was even smaller than the previous town with a chainsaw maniac, consisting only of a hospital and the building before him. It seemed too simple.

He glanced at the five-star completion requirements:

"1. Defeat the final boss within four hours for a three-star completion."

"2. Defeat five Lord-level zombies for a four-star completion."

"3. Defeat all zombies for a five-star completion."

"Five Lord-level creatures in this small, broken place?" Ming gazed at the distant hospital building.

At this point, the little frogs' bags had recovered four spaces, maybe in the evening totaling eight. That should be enough since a humanoid boss would only have a few pieces of clothing on them.

"Time to scout."

Ming placed two little frogs on the ground, allowing them to move freely. He wondered if their hopping would count as a travel experience when it wasn't travel time. It should, he thought; otherwise, it would be a shame.

Uninterested in the dilapidated courtyard before them, your little frogs reluctantly hopped forward after glancing back at you...

As your frogs hopped over a flower bed, they discovered a stunning, voluptuous zombie woman with wavy hair dressed in a nurse's uniform and cap. Da Vinci eagerly rushed towards her...

Foodie was astonished – Da Vinci was even faster than him when it came to such situations!

"Don't do it~."

With eight spaces, saved space before the final boss fight was crucial!

As Da Vinci hopped to the zombie, it scanned her from the bottom up – white shoes, flesh-colored stockings... acceptable. Continuing upward, a short skirt and short sleeves...

Da Vinci noticed the zombie was looking down at it. Their eyes met, and Da Vinci decided not to collect this time because the zombie's face was destroyed, falling short of its standards. Ming probably wouldn't like it either...

"well~" Ming sighed with relief, quickly pulled out his shotgun, and turned toward the flower bed to see the zombie's silhouette.

Using "Eagle Eye," he found it was a five-star Lord. The zombie turned its head to look at him.

After admiring the zombie's clothing, Da Vinci thought they would look great on Jessica. Your frog activated its collection ability, successfully collecting the skirt, shirt, and hat...

Da Vinci proudly looked at you as if to say, "Look, I got Jessica a new outfit. She'll love it..."

"..."

Ming was dumbfounded, never expecting such an act from his frog. Da Vinci's travel bag was down to one space. Well, well~

The zombie charged towards him, and Ming raised his shotgun with his left hand, pulling the trigger – bang, bang, bang...!!

Indeed, after donning the magician's white gloves, his trigger speed increased significantly. Six consecutive shots broke the zombie's armor.

Before they could approach, he had already laid them to kill, gaining over 500 experience points and coins.

Ming realized that defeating a five-star Lord was now incredibly simple. He could finish this map in three hours, have a good night's sleep, and then participate in the sixth day's shared boss battle. Suddenly, he was extremely busy ha.

Sniff sniff~

Why did it smell like a familiar human scent?

Immediately, Ming turned his head towards a large trash can by the wall, raised his gun, and asked, "Is that you, Mike?"

With a bang, the trash can's lid opened, and a man jumped out, exclaiming, "Sunglasses guy! It really is you! Hahaha~!"

Mike leaped out of the trash can, excitedly rushing towards Ming. Due to the darkness, he didn't recognize Ming right away. All these days, Mike had thought about what he should do, and finally, he felt that praying for the Sunglasses guy to enter this map randomly was the best option.

His prayers were answered, and the good man had finally arrived!

Seeing the filthy, smelly man leaping out of the trash can with his arms flailing, your frog Foodie started to prepare for a battle...

"don't do that."

Foodie rushed over, hearing you yell not. It wanted to reassure you that this guy looked weak, and it could easily handle him.

Foodie wanted you to know that as long as it was around, no one could hurt you... except for Da Vinci.

"Mike, watch out!" Ming immediately warned him.

After all, Foodie didn't care for even king-level zombies, let alone a person!

"..."

At this moment, all Mike could think of was hugging Ming to express his deepest gratitude.

Bam!!

Suddenly, he felt an intense pain in his stomach, as if he'd been hit by a small train. He flipped backward and landed with a thud right back into the trash can...

Ming picked up his two frogs and put them in his pocket. With Mike here, they wouldn't need to scout ahead. They could save their energy for the final boss.

He then went over, took a small stick, and extended it into the trash can. Mike grabbed onto the stick, and Ming pulled him out since Mike was quite dirty at the moment.

Ming noticed that the guy would somehow end up filthy whenever he met. It must be fate...

"Thanks; what just happened?" Mike asked while holding his stomach, still in pain.

"Well..."

Ming couldn't say that it was his frog that had hit him. A tiny frog knocking a person over might hurt Mike's pride.

He casually snapped his fingers, and three psychic hunting dogs ran from one side. Pointing at them, he said, "They're my psychic summons. They mistook you for a zombie."

After that, he pointed towards the hospital building, and the three psychic hunting dogs understood, immediately rushing inside to explore.

"Oh, I see~" Mike rubbed his stomach, glanced at the three black dogs, and didn't suspect a thing.

Ming looked at the dirty Mike, covering his mouth, and asked, "How did you get into such a mess?"

"you ask this, and I want to cry."

"Here,  you take this. These tissues are very soft and won't scratch your eyes."

"..."

Suddenly, Mike didn't feel like crying anymore.
