Chapter 114 - 114 Ch. 114 Richard’s Confession
114 Ch. 114 Richard’s Confession
By the time Richard arrived at the balcony, he was unusually relieved to feel an intense murderous aura aimed at him.
“Xia Xia, we need to talk.”
“Isn’t that why we are here?”
“Right. Don’t believe anything that woman says. We were never engaged, and also… my father didn’t like her.”
“So if your father liked her, you would marry her?”
“Of course not. The only one I want as a wife is you alone.” his firm reply caught Anxia off guard. She was confused why Richard uttered that kind of reply.
Seeing Anxia’s unfocused gaze, Richard walked towards his wife slowly. It was not the most romantic moment to reveal his feelings, but it was the most suitable time.
“Xia Xia, I have never wanted someone as strong as I want you in my entire life. I never even considered settling down before I reached thirty.” Richard arrived right in front of Anxia, making Anxia raise her head because of how towering the man was.
Richard held Anxia’s shoulders, then drove down to have his wife’s hand.
.....
“But that all changed when I met you. I didn’t even think about it or plan it, but I wanted to marry you at that moment. Yet, you mercilessly left me.”
What?
Anxia recalled that when Richard forced her to marry him, the man seemed to have thought it through and even prepared a marriage agreement for her. What did he mean by not thinking about or planning the marriage?
And what did he mean by Anxia leaving him anyway? It was obviously because Richard kidnapped her to this unknown island that she was his wife now with no escape route.
“What are you talking about? Didn’t we get married because of Lori? You wouldn’t want to marry me without Lori around.”
Anxia tried to free herself from her husband’s grasp, but her efforts were in vain because Richard wouldn’t let her out of his arms.
“I’m talking about four years ago, my love. You forgot I asked your hand in marriage when you tried to kill me at the hotel?”
What?! He talked about that incident? Richard, he... he wanted to marry her even though Anxia had deliberately tried to kill him?
If Anxia wasn’t sure before, now she was positive... Richard was indeed not a normal man. Nonetheless, she felt a warmth she had never had before and was over the moon when she heard her husband’s confession. Not to mention his endearment on her when he called her ‘my love,’ creating a pleasant tingling in her heart. It felt like Richard genuinely loved her, which made her uneasy.
After all, what kind of good man could love a handful of blood like her? She couldn’t believe it.
“Wh… Why are you acting like this? You don’t even have feelings for me. You asked me to marry you at that time because you felt responsible. And now you’re asking me to marry you because you want to give Lori a complete family. You don’t have feelings for me at all, so why….” Anxia felt her throat choke when Richard kissed her hands.
“Don’t you understand yet? I love you, so I don’t want you to stay in that dangerous world. I married you not because of Lori. Our little princess is a bonus to what I desire.”
“Your desire?”
“I wish you to have the same feelings as me.”
Anxia’s breath quickened to hear her husband’s words. She couldn’t tell if this man was good at acting out of wanting to trick her or if he meant what he said. But she knew her heart trembled violently at her husband’s confession.
“I love you, Qiao Anxia, with all my soul and heart. You don’t know how much I struggle to wait for you to open your heart to me. You don’t know, whenever I meet other girls, I always secretly compare them to you. I always think of you in my spare time.”
Qiao Anxia felt like she saw the stars in the sky hearing her husband’s words of love. She couldn’t believe the man she was trying to kill; instead of hating her, he loved her.
Anxia’s mood improved every time she heard the man’s words after words. For a moment, she didn’t care anymore about their marriage registration that didn’t appear in the government.
She felt that the man’s treatment and her husband’s expression of love were enough for her. As if the grey clouds blocking the sun were shifting away, Anxia felt she faced a brand new day, evaporating all her jealousy and anxious feelings.
She felt that day was the best day in her memory if only her husband had not ruined it with his perverted flirting, “You even appear in my every wet dream.”
“In other words, you just want to fuck me,” Anxia grumbled while pouting her lips, making Richard chuckle.
“Well, your body is too alluring for me to resist. After all, you are my wife. Which husband can endure hunger for their wife’s ravishing figure?”
Anxia snorted sullenly, but she was secretly happy to hear it. But one problem still made her hesitate to accept the man’s feelings.
“But... a feeling is not permanent. If you’re tired of me one day, won’t you throw me away? Isn’t that why you withdrew our marriage registration?”
“First, I’m not gonna be tired of you in this lifetime. You are my first and last woman that manages to steal my heart, and I do not take back what you have taken.”
Anxia was dumbfounded and speechless to hear that. She never expected Richard confessed she had stolen his heart. She wondered when she stole his heart, considering she had never done anything or tried something to win over the man’s heart.
Anxia cleared her throat a little to ease her nervousness. Really, her heart would gradually become weaker when she heard honey-like words from her husband.
“Then what’s the second one?”
“I’m not the one who withdraws our marriage registration data.”
Anxia glanced at Richard in confusion. If it wasn’t Richard, then who did?
