It would be wrong to send them away after coming all the way here. And he could say no to those eyes. Those eyes were saying they wanted to look around and play. Just looking at them made Keith sigh in defeat.
"Yay!" "Big brother is the best!" The little ones clung to Keith's legs, their laughter echoing through the forest. Keith couldn't help but smile at their cuteness.
"But make sure to stick by my side. I don't want you guys to get hurt." There were still monsters in this forest. Danger lurked around.
"Mmhmm!" And the two didn't let go; actually, they used whatever strength they could muster as they clutched onto Keith's leg. They were two little koalas.
"There's no need to cling to me so tightly. Just hold my hand as we go." The two nodded, their trust in him evident. As they walked, the snowballs were in front of them, ready to face any challenge.
"Hoo!" That was when they heard a scream. A giant rooster blocked their path. They looked at the four snowballs.
"Giant chickens!" Leon blurted out. Keith nodded, "Yeah, they're giant chickens." Well, giant roosters. But he wasn't going to correct the child's words.
"Fira, constrict them. Inti and the rest, take them out." Keith ordered.
"Understood!" "Po!" The five nodded as they went forth! Before those roosters could charge at them, vines burst from the ground. The rooster's legs were constricted, making it fly. That was when Inti and the rest charged!
A rampaging freight train. That was the only way to describe their movement.
"Big brother, what are you doing?" "Umm?" What Leon and Laura saw was black.
"Good children shouldn't see something like this." There was blood flying all over the place. No way Keith was going to show them something like that. After a few seconds, the battle was finished.
One-sided slaughter.
"Po!" Inti and the rest charged at the three, wanting to get a head pat. But Keith shouted,
"Hold!" That caused the four to stop in their tracks.
"You need to clean first." Their fur was covered in blood.
"Bo," Inti and the rest looked dejected. Keith asked Laura, "Laura, can you clean them up?"
"Okay!" Laura nodded as she raised her hand and chanted. Tiny bubbles surrounded the snowballs as they popped on them, cleaning them off.
"Good job, your magic has improved. Did Mother teach you?"
"Mmhmm!" Laura nodded.
"I can use fire!" Not wanting to be left out, Leon made fire appear in his hand.
"Good job! The two of you have learned magic so well!" This was true. The two learned at a rapid pace. They could become strong mages in the future.
"Po!Po!"
"Yes, yes. I haven't forgotten." Keith sighed as he patted the snowballs' heads. Leon and Laura were back up as they patted as well.
"Let's keep going." He remembered his objective; this was training for Fira and the others. Like that, they set off. But it became apparent to Keith.
This might be too weak for them. Mir and the others literally popped their opponents out of existence! Should I bring them somewhere else another time?
"Alright, I think we can stop and take a break." Keith looked at the amount they had; it was enough.
"Let's sit over there and have lunch," Keith pointed under a big tree. The little ones nodded as they sat down with him.
"Po po!" "Don't worry, I have snacks for you all." Keith quickly brought out loaves of bread. The snowballs were content with them.
"Do you two want to try some pie?" Keith asked.
"Pie?" "It's sweet?"
"Mmhmm. It's made from apples." Keith grinned. When he brought it out, the little ones got closer to it.
"Tasty!" "Mmhmm!" Flowers bloomed around as Leon and Laura chewed happily.
"Mmhmm!" Fira was the same as she munched on a piece.
"How are the others?" Keith wanted to know.
"Father and Mother are doing great. But they really miss you."
"I see." Keith scratched his head.
"Big Brother Eric and Alvin work hard!"
"That's great. What about Derek?"
"Umm, Michael is punishing him."
"What?"
"He did something, and Michael is punishing him."
"Pff, that sounds so like him." I'm glad nothing has changed over the last few months.
"Ahh! Big Brother! Big Sister May miss you a lot." Laura commented.
"Hmm?"
"...I see." I should write a letter to her as well. Keith continued to ask them questions about it.
"She would sit in your seat and look out the window."
