"Alright! I'm off now!" Keith waved his hand as he pulled his cart. It was time to sell again. Once he left,
"Is he going to be alright alone?" Cadmus frowned.
"He has Aria with him; he should be fine." Aria went with him as well. The injuries she sustained have healed up. Just having a blizzard owl there was more than enough.
"His name is now known throughout the city. It wouldn't be a surprise if people tried to attack him." Keith's name was now known for defeating a floor boss. There were bound to be people who tried to attack him because of this.
"Oh," Diana said, "I asked someone else to protect him as well."
"Oh, okay." Cadmus realized who it was, "The kid made extra meat, right?"
"..." This glutton.
...
"Hmm," Keith hummed, pushing his cart to his usual spot. As he set up,
"The boss is back!"
"Boss, I heard you explored a S-rank dungeon!"
"That's incredible."
"Thank you." Keith bowed, "Please line up. I will take your orders." It was going to be another usual day. The customers lined up and started to order their food.
"It's been so long." "The food is so much better!" Comments of joy resounded on the streets. Keith hadn't set up his cart for quite some time now. Eating it now brought more flavor. While he cooked,
"Keith! How could you go to an S-rank dungeon without us?" Dennis questioned; he was in disbelief. Keith scratched his head, "That was not my call."
"Aww, I really wanted to go!"
"Trust me, if you went, you wouldn't last a second, Dennis." Groa came from behind as he shook his head. Being his teacher, he knew what would happen.
"Hello, Groa. How are your injuries?"
"Pretty much healed up. Anyways, I want a serving of lamb crepe and pork soup!" He came here for only one thing; crepes!
"On it!" Keith laughed as he started to work on his order. While he worked on the order,
"Kid, did you get something from the dungeon?"
"Hmm? I did get some coins." Keith tilted his head at Cedric. That caused the latter to frown, "That's not what I was asking."
"What are you asking?"
Fin shouted, "He's asking whether or not you got any new ingredients from the dungeon!" Was this child trying to mess with them? He disappeared and returned after some time as if nothing was wrong.
"Oh, I did obtain some new meats." The number of dragators they had defeated was nothing to scoff at. He just needed to get them from the guild.
Hearing this, their expression brightened before. New meat! That would mean a new item!
"But I don't think I'm going to sell it," Keith added. That caused that bubble to pop!
"Are you kidding me?!" "Boss! How could you throw a curve at us!" "What is this?!"
"It would cost too much." In the beginning, Keith thought about putting the dragator on the menu. But when he thought about how to do it, none of his ideas worked out.
He couldn't make it cheap enough because the meat was definitely on the pricey side. He could lower the price, but it would kill his profits.
All in all, it was not a good item to sell in a cart.
"..." Cedric and the others had blank expressions as they stared at the sky. The thought of a new item stunned them. But someone broke that silence,
"Aww, man. I really want it to be on the menu."
"Eh? What do you mean?" Fin turned to Groa. Groa explained, "When we were in the dungeon, Keith cooked the meat for us."
"!" The customers' expressions froze. The boss cooked for you?
"Are you kidding?" Dennis questioned.
"Nope. he also cooked something we never tried before, and it was really tasty!" Thinking about it was enough to cause his stomach to rumble.
"..."
"It was so delicious and- Eh, why are you guys holding onto my shoulders?" Groa noticed how Dennis and his party were holding him down. Upon further inspection, he saw it. Tears of blood! And it was drowning.
"You must pay!"" Pay for what?"
"For causing us so much hardship!"
