Volume 3.5 Chapter 62: Let’s Go Home!
Keith took a few steps away from Todd as he started to chant, "Brilliant lightning to pierce through all my enemies! Those who are in thy way shall be obliterated."
"High-level magic!" Lola screamed out! She could sense the large amount of mana surrounding Keith!
"No, it's not high level," Tennol remarked.
"Eh?"
"It's a level higher. It's a grand-level magic," Even Tennol was surprised Keith could use it.
"Grand level?!" Lola's voice cracked when she heard that. Grand-level magic was rare. Only a handful of people in her grade were able to use that level of magic.
"Welp. Todd's toast," Cadmus noted. Todd literally had to take that. The armor was so heavy that he couldn't move from his position. What was more, the latter couldn't take it off. He would be a sitting duck!
"Obliterate! Lightning trident!" Keith roared! A giant stream of lightning raged at Todd!
Boom! A giant explosion resounded as the entire Colosseum was covered in lightning!
"Holy!"
"Monster," One person couldn't help but blurt out. Keith was usually the joke. But no one could say it.
He was anything but that!
Capable of using grand-level magic? Defeated a B-rank adventurer with one blow? All of that was enough to shut people up. No one could ever question his skills!
"...Is Todd toast?" Lola questioned. Everyone wondered whether or not he was dead with that. He was a giant target with the armor on.
"He's alive," Tennol and Cadmus commented. The smoke cleared up. What everyone saw was Todd's armor shattered. He was lying on the ground.
"How is he alive?!" She thought for sure he was dead.
"It's because Keith held back the power. The spell had the power of a high level." Cadmus explained. A regular lightning trident would have a higher output.
"He's lucky Keith didn't have a psychopathic mind," Keith could probably kill him ten times over if he tried.
Surprisingly, Todd wasn't injured. The armor took the brunt of it. But his mind was shattered. Never expected something like this to occur! He picked a fight with someone he shouldn't have.
Thud!
What he saw was the person looking down at him. His eyes were cold.
"Wait! We can talk about this!" Todd screamed out as he waved his hand. His body slowly inched away, trying his best not to be close to this monster.
Keith didn't listen as he placed his feet onto the guy's chest!
Bam!
"This is for messing with Jack!"
Bam!
"This is for using my friends for your personal amusement."
Bam!
"This is for messing with his family!"
Bam!
While Keith punched Todd in the face, he continued to scream out everything he had done.
While he did that. Jack was in tears.
"Dammit, why did he have to say something like that?" Jack couldn't hold it in. Even with what he did, Keith still considered him as a friend.
"Get him!"
"Beat him up!"
"He caused so much trouble for my friend!" While Keith continued to beat Todd in the face, others cheered him on! Todd didn't just cause trouble for Jack. He did so with so many people!
It didn't take long before Keith finished. Todd's expression was beaten like a pig's. He looked at Cadmus,
"I think this is enough."
"Indeed. The winner of the duel is Keith Freed!" Cadmus stated. It was already his win long ago.
There was nothing left to say about this. Throughout the entire fight, the battle was one-sided. But there were no cheers. That was because of how unexpected this outcome was. Keith defeated Todd's crew like they were nothing!
They had everything on the other side. They had more men. They even had trump cards. But one person had decimated all of them. It was too unbelievable.
"This duel was incredible!" Lola commented, "I finally understand why the principal had given the representative role to him!" People kept questioning why Keith was given that role.
But there was no need to question it now! What he showed in this duel was enough reason why.
"Does student Keith have anything you have to say?" Cadmus looked down at Keith. Since he was the winner, shouldn't he say a few words?
"Sure," Keith nodded,
"I want to make one thing clear! I don't really care about what you guys do to me! But mess with my friends, and I will bury you!"
"..." That's what you wanted to say?! Cadmus was going to die from laughter while Tennol grabbed his head. Lola's expression was indescribable. Keith didn't stay there anymore as he walked to where Aidiun was,
"Professor Aidiun, let's go back. I'm hungry."
"...." Is that really all you have to say? Aidiun didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Did he not understand what he just did and what he just said?
Wait, does he even know his duel was broadcast throughout the city? Probably not. Keith was an airhead with stuff like this.
"Let's go!" Keith stated as he walked out of the Colosseum without a thought. But when he did that, he saw Carolyn and the group outside.
"Yo!" Keith raised his hand up!
"How are you going to "Yo" us after all that?" Carolyn retorted.
"Anyways, did you guys like my fight? Pretty flashy, right?" Keith rubbed his nose as he praised himself.
"Yes, it was. How much did you put into that fight?" Gabriel questioned.
"Who knows?" Keith shrugged.
"Leader, that was amazing!" Arlo was stunned that Keith could do something like that!
"What do you expect?" Keith laughed. He turned to look at Jack. He looked meek.
"You don't have to worry about a thing, you fool," Keith scoffed as he punched Jack in the shoulders,
"How could you say that so casually?" Jack had a gripe with his words. It was embarrassing.
"Because I can. Also, you're going to join my island." Keith declared.
"Huh?"
"I need more people on my island, and it seems you are out of a home there." With how he decimated Todd, there was no way Jack could stay on that island.
"Heh, you know I can join other islands, right?"
"Hey! Don't you dare," Keith headlocked him, "After all I did, there's no other option for you!"
"Ain't that a misuse of power?!" Jack screamed!
"So? What if I am? Let's go!" Keith didn't even wait as he dragged Jack in a headlock.
Despite the weird conversation, Jack's expression said it all. He was happy about it.
"Sarah, you're joining my island too, right?" Keith questioned.
"Of course!" Sarah nodded.
"Hey! Why did Sarah get such an invitation?!" He was getting a headlock while his sister was invited so casually.
"Because one is a cutie while the other is a stubborn mule," Keith scoffed.
"..."
"Let's go home! After breaking some heads, I need something to eat!"
"..." How could he say things like that? The entire duel lasted around 5-6ish minutes? And he clobbered them like it was nothing. But said person was probably too happy to think about it.
Like that, they headed back to his island.
