Volume 3.5 Chapter 19: Here We Go!
"Anyways," Tristan asked everyone, "Have you guys decided what to choose for your main class?"
"I'm going to be taking offensive magic studies," Gabriel answered.
"Really?" Keith was surprised he would pick that. He thought he would choose something that was focused on swords.
"Mmhmm, magic isn't my strong suit. I need to improve on my magic," Gabriel stated.
"I see,"
"I was thinking about potion brewing," Sarah added. That was another major course that was there in the academy.
"That's an interesting one," Tristan smiled. He turned to Keith and Carolyn, "What about you two,"
"I'm thinking about taking general studies," Carolyn commented. As the name suggested, it focused on the world and management. This was usually chosen by students who would become heads of their household.
Tristan sighed, "You really don't have to do that. You can choose something besides this."
"Brother, it's fine. I'm a princess. I have to take this class to learn about taking care of the land," Carolyn puffed in pride.
Tristan had nothing to say to that child. But he turned to Keith,
"What about you, Keith?" All eyes were on him.
Keith chuckled, "Do you guys have to stare at me like that? It's not like I'm going to do something crazy,"
"..."
"Aren't you guys supposed to say something like, "You're right, he wouldn't do something crazy?""
"..."
"Guys?"
"We can't trust you," "For all we know, you might do something dangerous,"
"Gabriel, back me up!"
"Sorry. But they're right," Gabriel shook his head. The two have known each other for not so long. But it was enough to make him understand what type of person he was.
"What class are you planning to take?" Tristan questioned again. Keith sighed,
"I'm planning to take either swordsmanship or the same one as Gabriel," Keith understood Gabriel's idea of wanting to increase what he lacked. But Keith was an all-rounder. His magic and his fighting abilities were about the same. It didn't matter which one he chose.
"I'm surprised you're not choosing general studies," Tristan questioned.
"Don't need to. And I think I have enough knowledge. Also, I prefer adventuring than staying in one place," Keith noted. He wanted to travel around to find new foods rather than stay in one place. As he talked, he quickly slapped her hand,
"Stop stealing my food," Keith turned his head to see Carolyn stealing his food like no tomorrow. While they talked, Carolyn eyed his food.
"But you don't mind if I take it in front of your face?" Carolyn tilted her head.
"...." Keith sighed in defeat. Like that, she continued to eat the food like no tomorrow! While they continued to eat,
"You spilled your food on my clothes, you damn brat!"
"S-Sorry!"
Keith and the rest turned their heads over to what was going on. It was a beastman talking down to a boy. He was slightly smaller than normal humans.
It seemed the boy bumped into the beastman by mistake.
The beastman grabbed him by the collar and lifted him up!
"You ruined my suit, you damn punk!" Without a second later, the guy punched him in the face!
…
"Of course, this would happen,"
There was no way this wouldn't happen. This occurred too many times to count. Keith had stopped the one before. But it seemed that it was a daily occurrence.
Tristan shook his head, "Everyone is so antsy around one another. They need one ridiculous reason to fight with one another,"
"Yeah," Carolyn nodded.
"Wait a minute, why is no one stopping the guy?" Keith got up from his seat and quickly walked over to the person. Tristan shook his head,
"Here we go again,"
"Keith!" They wanted to stop Keith. But the guy walked up to them. There was no point in stopping him.
"Hey, stop hitting him." Keith grabbed the beastman's hand.
But the beastman growled at him, "Mind your own business!" But then he got a look at Keith's appearance. His expression turned dirtier,
"Why is the fake representative coming out here again?"
"Huh?" Keith tilted his head.
"You're a fake!" The beastman roared. That caused Keith to be even more confused, "How am I fake?"
"We all know that you curried favors with the principal! That's the only reason why you got the title of representative!"
"Hmm?" Did I curry favors with Grandpa Cadmus? He did make a deal with him. But that was for his island.
He was actually clueless about it. Why did Grandpa Cadmus give me that position?
"Mind your business!"
But Keith did not. He still held his arm, "You're picking on a first-year. That means you have to go through me," Keith noticed the tie.
Each year had a different color for their tie and bow. The boy had the same color as him. That meant he was a first-year.
