Chapter 56.3
It was common knowledge that Ji Xinxins gaming skills were so-so. Even Ji Fanyins flawless acting ended up stumbling once due to it. She honestly didnt think that Ji Xinxin would be that terrible in gaming.
She had never felt more like a damsel in distress than during the gaming sessions with Bai Zhou.
She logged into one of Bai Zhous side accounts and immediately received an invitation request from Bai Zhous main account.
In her peripheral vision, she noticed that someone had sent Bai Zhou a request to join his squad, but he ignored the request and went ahead to queue up for Duo mode.
With a hand on the mouse and the other on the keyboard, Ji Fanyin swiftly entered her Newbie Gamer Ji Xinxin mode.
It was not easy for Bai Zhou to advance in the game with a huge burden in his squad, though Ji Fanyin did notice that his skills had improved considerably compared to back then. It showed that humans did grow in the face of adversity.
While Ji Fanyin was crouching in the bushes, Bai Zhou proceeded into a nearby building to scavenge for resources.
Around two minutes later, Ji Fanyin suddenly heard a voice message coming from Bai Zhous computer. It was a voice filled with surprise and delight, Zhouzhou?
Those words were relayed through all chat, which meant that everyone in the vicinity of the player would be able to hear it, be it friend or foe. There was only one person in the world who would address Bai Zhou in such a manner.
Whats with this coincidence? Did we really get queued into the same match as Ji Xinxin?
Ji Fanyin thought that this was pretty interesting. She began searching her vicinity from the safety of the bushes, and she soon spotted three avatars standing by the window.
One was Ji Xinxin and one was Bai Zhou.
Whos the third person then?
Ji Fanyin glanced at Bai Zhous expression and immediately understood what was going on.
Is this what Bai Zhou has been feeling troubled about all this while? That third person should be the man whom Ji Xinxin boldly brought along with her during her gaming sessions with Bai Zhou, right?
Ji Fanyin equipped the 98K she had just picked up earlier on and started taking aim at an avatar which could have either belonged to Ji Xinxin or her male partner. Without any hesitation, she pulled the trigger.
Ji Xinxins shocked exclamation sounded from Bai Zhous computer right away, Someone is sniping at us! Ill help my teammate first.
It looked like the avatar Ji Fanyin had shot down didnt belong to Ji Xinxin.
So, she directed her scope toward the other avatar that definitely belonged to Ji Xinxin.
There was really no denying that Ji Xinxin was horrible at the game. Despite knowing that there was a sniper onto them, she didnt bother trying to take cover when helping her teammate up.
After taking aim, Ji Fanyin decisively eliminated Ji Xinxin with a single shot.
Consider this a gift from Ji Fanyin.
There was no way she would kill Ji Xinxin in real life, but there was no harm in getting back at her in the game.
Everything had happened too quickly. The two snipes occurred within seconds of each other, and both were deadly headshots.
Bai Zhou only understood what was going on when the second gunshot sounded. Wait a
A system notification reflecting that Bai Zhous side account had killed two people popped up.
After claiming two heads for herself, Ji Fanyin took off her headphones and turned to look at Bai Zhou with innocent eyes. Wow, I was really accurate with those two shots.
Bai Zhou knew that Ji Fanyin was feigning ignorance. He stared at her for a few seconds before turning his attention back to the game.
He felt a tinge of glee when she had eliminated Kitty, but as for Ji Xinxin
Maybe Ji Xinxin isnt as important to me as Ji Fanyin is anymore.
Bai Zhou was taken aback by the conclusion that inexplicably arose in his mind.
He soon received a text message from Ji Xinxin on his phone: Whos playing with you on your side account? Why did he shoot me too?
Bai Zhou glanced at his phone and quickly responded with a frown: She didnt do it on purpose
It was only after he sent out the message that he noticed a seemingly subtle yet glaringly conspicuous difference in their usage of terms.
Ji Xinxin had used the noun he whereas he had responded with a she.
He tossed aside his mouse in frustration.
Ji Xinxin is going to guess it.
Just as he had expected, the next message Ji Xinxin sent in was: Zhouzhou, didnt you promise me that you wouldnt meet with my big sis anymore?
