Chapter 154: Chapter 154: The Mysterious Porcelain

Summoned the Dragon Hunter Jiweis, ordering it to eat its own eggshell first.

Lin Shen’s gaze then fell on Xiaoye and Xiaona, constantly sizing them up.

He had originally thought their innate skills were just somewhat mysterious, but now it seemed it was not so simple as mere mystery.

To be able to suppress the Dragon Hunter Jiweis at Steel Level was indeed too formidable.

At the same Steel Level, Lin Shen, with so many Fire Seed skills, still couldn’t suppress Jiweis, yet Xiaona managed to do so with just a porcelain, Lin Shen felt this was not merely due to the power of the skills.

His attention was drawn to the porcelain gourd in Xiaona’s hands, and many thoughts flashed through his mind.

He had a hypothesis in his heart, if the treasure box was truly The Ancient Realm King’s treasure box, then was there a possibility that the porcelain held by Xiaoye and Xiaona was what The Ancient Realm King truly regarded as the most precious?

Otherwise, it was really hard to explain why an object in the hands of a mere Steel Level creature could be so formidable.

“I wonder if I can use the porcelain in their hands,” Lin Shen looked greedily at the porcelain they held.

Seemingly having sensed something, Xiaoye and Xiaona instinctively clutched their porcelain tightly.

Lin Shen quickly hid the greed in his eyes, speaking righteously, “Xiaoye, Xiaona, let me take a look at your porcelain.”

Immediately, they hugged the porcelain in their hands and turned around as if guarding against a thief, clearly showing no intention of handing it over to him.

“What do you mean by this? You are both mine, why guard against me?” Lin Shen muttered in his heart.

On second thought, they couldn’t escape anyway; there would be plenty of time and opportunities in the future. By getting on good terms with them gradually, he was bound to have a chance to get the porcelain.

“Beautiful pet girls with such a treasure, it’s just perfect. If they were human, I would want to marry them and take them home as my wives,” Lin Shen also realized that if someone familiar with the porcelain in Xiaoye and Xiaona’s hands were to see them, he might indeed be in big trouble.

“I should be more cautious in the future,” Lin Shen warned himself internally.

Jiweis had devoured all its eggshells, and seemed to have recovered quite well, its strength fully restored.

“Why chase after me and become my pet instead of eating good stuff?” Lin Shen looked at Jiweis triumphantly, checking its information again and it was still so impressive.

“You’ve killed so many of my pets, now it’s time for you to repay your debts,” Lin Shen packed up his things and headed towards another Ring Mountain with Jiweis.

The Black Armored Centipedes lost one, and the remaining two were also heavily injured, barely having any fighting strength left.

The Big Red Bull and the stone men had quite a few injuries too, but no fatal wounds. Feeding them some Base Mutation Fluid, they should be able to recover after some time.

Oddly enough, the White Jade Tiger had the lightest injuries. Lin Shen had originally wanted to ride it for the journey, but it was too bumpy when it ran, which was quite uncomfortable, so he had to choose to walk by himself, and incidentally, to practice Stepping on the Immortal Court.

It was indeed miraculous, Lin Shen was cultivating three different Evolution Skills at the same time, yet they seemed to not interfere with each other at all, with no conflicts. He couldn’t know whose tolerance was stronger that had caused this result.

He could practice “Stepping on the Immortal Court” while walking, “The Greed for Life and Fear of Death Elixir” while sleeping. Only in extreme environments would “Evolution Theory” automatically operate. The three Evolution Skills were simply a perfect combination.

Climbing atop a huge Ring Mountain, Lin Shen discovered that there were nests everywhere on the mountain walls inside the Ring Mountain, and Ascended Creatures resembling Pterosaurs were constantly shuttling between the nests and the green magma, the number fearing to be in the thousands.

Lin Shen caught sight of a distinctive Blue Pterosaur at a glance, its size was significantly larger than that of a normal Green Crystal Pterosaur, and whereas the typical pterosaurs were green, this one was blue, a clear indicator of mutant quality.

What made Lin Shen even more envious was that within the nest of the blue pterosaur, there was also a blue-shelled Ascension Egg, obviously a Mutant Egg.

“What a pity, there are simply too many pterosaurs here, there’s no chance to steal the Mutant Egg,” Lin Shen watched for quite a while, but eventually decided to give up. He wouldn’t risk his life for such a venture.

After visiting several more Ring Mountains without finding a good opportunity or any that were free of lava, he moved on.

Climbing up another Ring Mountain, Lin Shen took a look inside and his heart filled with joy.

On a platform on the inner wall of the Ring Mountain, there was a stone nest with three Green Crystal Eggs, the size of human heads, with light patterns resembling those of a Triceratops on their shells.

After scrutinizing the interior of the Ring Mountain, he saw no other creatures.

Lin Shen took another thorough look and still didn’t find any other creatures, so without further hesitation, he sent the White Jade Tiger down.

The White Jade Tiger landed on the platform, looked around, and upon finding no danger, grabbed an Ascension Egg and leapt back up.

“The freak would never dream that his attempt to kill me actually turned into a huge advantage for me,” Lin Shen held the Ascension Egg, feeling almost euphoric.

This was an Ascension Pet, which would surely fetch a high price if sold.

After several trips, White Jade Tiger managed to bring all three Ascension Eggs out.

Lin Shen didn’t dare to linger, taking the Ascension Eggs and running, quickly distancing himself from that Ring Mountain.

Finding a deeper pit, Lin Shen sat down inside it and arranged the three Ascension Eggs before him.

“These Ascension Eggs shouldn’t hatch in a short time, should they?” Lin Shen considered what to do with the three eggs.

For maximum profit, it would be best to bring all three Ascension Eggs back as they would undoubtedly sell for a good price.

Unfortunately, he was only at Steel Level, and even if he could tame Ascension Pets, they would turn into a capsule state and wouldn’t activate without reaching Ascension Level.

As he mulled this over, suddenly he heard an angry roar from afar.

Lin Shen stood up and peered out of the pit, only to see a huge Green Crystal Triceratops charging from the direction of the previous Ring Mountain, probably the owner of the three Ascension Eggs.

The sight gave Lin Shen quite a start, but upon closer inspection, he found something unexpected.

The Green Crystal Triceratops that had emerged from the Ring Mountain seemed to be covered in a layer of frost, which was continuously consolidating.

The speed of the Green Crystal Triceratops wasn’t as fast as Lin Shen had imagined; it seemed much slower than the one he had seen with Zheng Guyuan earlier.

“Could it be that the reason why the Ascended Creatures don’t leave the Ring Mountains is that the environment outside does them harm?” Lin Shen felt a mix of shock and joy. Watching the Green Crystal Triceratops charge towards him, he immediately opened fire and released Jiweis.

Once Jiweis landed on the ground, it glanced at the Green Crystal Triceratops barreling towards it, and its light patterns immediately lit up.

With a bellow, the Green Crystal Triceratops spat out a Green Crystal Trident, hurling it through the air towards Jiweis.
