Chapter 1376: Seventh Order! Seventh Order!
Chapter 1376: Seventh Order! Seventh Order!
Giving up on their Capital Star Ship, the sharp point they used as their weapon, and the anchor, with Gong Zhuo suffering heavy injuries, the Wanyun Association managed to shake off the pursuit of the experts of the Essence Ling Heavenly Field. Meeting up with Zhang Shun, they managed to drag the injured Gong Zhuo into the depths of the sea of stars.
Even though the reinforcements of the Essence Ling Heavenly Field were thrown into a state of chaos, they didn’t really suffer too much damage other than those who died.
As they came from various worlds, the relationship between all of them was complicated. They were unable to unite to deal with the intruders, giving them a chance to escape.
Shang Xia activated 2 Abyssal Emptiness Talismans immediately and raced out of the encirclement. As soon as they were no longer in a region of powerful spatial fluctuations, Shang Xia simply used his spatial movement techniques to catch up to the other Star Ships.
Of the True Immortals who took part in the War of the Spirit Dawn World, 2 experts of the Wanyun Association had died and 2 others suffered heavy injuries. Zhang Shun was a person with abilities at the high-level True Immortal on their side but he was pretty much exhausted. He needed some time to recover. Of the 7 Star Ships they brought, 4 were lost. Even their Capital Star Ship was no longer with them. It could be said that they suffered catastrophic losses!
However... Be it Zhang Shun or Gong Zhuo, neither of them showed signs of dejection. They even heaved a sigh of relief after returning to the Star Ships while making their escape.
Shang Xia quickly reached a conclusion. As long as the Wanyun Association brought the world fragment back to the Essence Xing World, they would be able to quickly rise again with the foundations they already built. They wouldn’t be at a disadvantage at all.
To the Wanyun Association, they were willing to pay any price to build a continent they could take root in. Even their Capital Star Ship and Gong Zhuo could be given up if the situation called for it!
When the 3 high-level True Immortals returned, Shang Xia quickly rushed towards the ship in the lead. Zhang Shun went to the last while the heavily injured Gong Zhuo took the one in the middle where the other True Immortals of the Wanyun Association were recuperating.
When they left, Shang Xia even gave Gong Zhuo 3 drops of Three Lights water. It was a rare treasure the Tongyou Institution used to quickly restore their energy and to also hasten their cultivation. It was a precious treasure used by True Immortals.
Even in the Essence Xing World, treasures like that weren’t commonly seen. The effects might not be considered extremely outstanding, but Gong Zhuo still expressed his thanks after receiving the treasure.
Not too long after settling down on the first ship, Shang Xia received a jade book Zhang Shun sent over.
Scanning through its contents with his divine soul, Shang Xia smiled. He expected as much.
The book contained the Talisman Formation that used the Myriad Tinted Cloud Talisman as its core. They gave it to him as thanks for his contribution in the war of the Spirit Dawn World and everything that came after.
Even though the Talisman Formation couldn’t be compared to wielding Seventh Order energy, it could withstand any hit under the Seventh Order. It still had a lot of uses.
After keeping the book, Shang Xia quickly returned to his cultivation.
Ever since he accepted their invitation, he was able to retreat from every battle safely because of his tyrannical strength. However, he also exhausted a huge amount of inner qi. He completed the fifth move of his Six Harmony Rod Technique when breaking the Spirit Dawn World and increased his cultivation, but he still felt extremely tired after he was done.
It wasn’t long before he was forcefully awakened from his state of cultivation.
He examined his body as soon as he awakened, and he noticed that his inner qi recovered a little. He achieved greater comprehension in his cultivation technique, and he felt the Crimson Soul Tablet providing him with a greater amount of purified energy. His cultivation had also risen considerably.
Despite experiencing some improvements, Shang Xia was so tired that he didn’t feel like moving about in his cabin.
Without expanding his divine soul, Shang Xia could tell that they had entered the region of chaotic space that led out of the Essence Ling Heavenly Field. The moment they passed it, the next step would be to return to the Essence Xing World.
Sighing softly, Shang Xia knew that while passing through the chaotic streams, it would be extremely difficult to cultivate. It wasn’t just because of the impact of the chaotic streams on the ship. It was also because danger was everywhere. The energy that was contained in the chaotic streams was also unsuitable for cultivation as it would greatly increase the chances of suffering from cultivation deviation.
Shang Xia didn’t need to care about absorbing energy from outside sources because of the energy stored in the Crimson Soul Tablet, but he didn’t continue to do so anyway. That was because he found it difficult to stabilize his mental state all of a sudden.
He wondered if it was because of the War of the Spirit Dawn World, or if there was danger approaching. It might also be a misconception, but he didn’t think so.
Peering out of the crystal windows of the cabin, Shang Xia knew that even if he used his divine soul, he wouldn’t be able to feel much because of the twisted space.
Helpless, he emerged from his cabin and stood in the corridor of a Star Ship that was a lot more narrow. He also felt a stronger rocking of the Star Ship from the impact of the chaotic streams.
As it continued on its way, Shang Xia stood on the deck and paused for a second. He failed to find anything, but he saw several dozen experts of the Wanyun Association staring at him suspiciously. The Martial Dipper Realm expert sent by Zhang Shun to pass him the inheritance of the Talisman Formation even went to the deck twice to ask him if anything was wrong and if he discovered any dangers.
After hearing how Shang Xia said that he didn’t know what was wrong twice, the Martial Dipper Realm expert rushed back into the ship with a helpless expression. Shang Xia looked at him rushing back hurriedly and realized that Martial Dipper Realm experts were actually capable of standing on the deck when traveling through the chaotic streams of space for a long time.
Chuckling softly, he turned to return to his cabin in order not to cause more panic among the experts of the Wanyun Association.
Who would have thought that when he turned around, the void around them started to crumble? It turned into 3 massive palms created from the spatial fragments that grabbed at the Star Ships traveling back to the Essence Xing World.
Before those palms arrived, Seventh Order energy filled the void around them. No matter how hard the space churned, it failed to stop the palms from approaching.
The Seventh Order energy that descended was completely different from what they had been wielding earlier. The Seventh Order energy that arrived contained some sort of spirituality and it even seemed alive when controlling those giant palms.
They might be powerful, but those palms seemed to hesitate slightly whenever they moved. Shang Xia even felt like they were lagging for some reason.
Whatever it was, it clearly wasn’t the time to think about things like that. Those palms might be moving with slightly jerky actions, but it wouldn’t take long before they arrived on those Star Ships.
In a state of panic, Shang Xia didn’t even think of protecting the Star Ship he was on. In fact, he didn’t even know if he could stay alive.
The first thing he did was to establish contact with the others in order to ask Zhang Shun if they had any means to stop those palms.
Before he could do anything else, another powerful fluctuation from the side caught his attention.
Under Shang Xia’s shocked gaze, the last Star Ship surged forward and rushed at the palm that was reaching for the middle ship.
The palm that was originally reaching for it followed closely behind and swiped at its tail, and Shang Xia noticed a streak of light rushing out from the last Star Ship. It shot at Shang Xia’s Spirit Ark, and Shang Xia had no doubt it was Zhang Shun.
Behind him, the void shattered as the palm smacked the ship. Hundreds of cultivators of the Wanyun Association died in an instant, and Zhang Shun was the only person who survived.
Because he used the last ship as a sacrifice, Zhang Shun managed to intercept both palms that had formed.
As soon as Zhang Shun arrived on the Spirit Ark, he directed it towards the first ship.
At the same time, Shang Xia felt the Star Ship beneath his feet flying out of control as it turned to face the giant palm.
