Second Try Idol

Chapter 298: First Full Album (34)

Chapter 298: First Full Album (34)

The classical melody of “Red Riding Hood Cha Cha" gracefully resonated throughout the venue. The duo performance of Joo So-dam and Goh Yoo-Joon was visually captivating, but it was somewhat challenging to articulate the peculiar charm it exuded.

- What in the world is this 😂😂

- Try watching this without the sound, everyone!

Would the piece not have drawn laughter if the audience weren’t aware of it as the Cha Cha soundtrack? Nope. The tune itself that whimsically pranced along with "Dung dirong dirong~ derong~" seemed ill-suited for the dignified atmosphere.

Furthermore, seeing Joo So-dam and Goh Yoo-Joon in elegant suits performing this melody added an ironic layer of comedy. They played "Dung dirong dirong~ derong~" in their formal outfit, which was a contrast so stark it was humorous.

- The video quality is absolutely smashing, though

- Joo So-dam has really expanded her repertoire lol

- What on earth is this ahahha

- I am here to enjoy Yoo-Joon's piano skills, but I can't seem to focus 😂

- Why so serious lmao

The viewers’ initial immersion was abruptly shattered. However, if the intention was to make people laugh with a twist, it was a success. Viewers enjoyed the unlikely combination of video and music, and the chatroom was abuzz with activity.

Then, silhouettes appeared on a vintage duet stage. The focus blurred and revealed elegant colors and red shoes climbing onto the stage. The viewers could see calves and white knee socks above the red shoes.

- The description of ‘Perfection.’

- It's obviously Cha Cha hahahaha

- Cosplay is amazing lol

- Gun-Seok’s calf muscles are not fitting the vibe at all AHAHHA

It was clearly a Cha Cha cosplay. The cosplayers entered the frame magnificently, and the chatroom was going incredibly fast. Park Yoon-Chan, who had previously played adult Cha Cha, and Lee Jin-Sung, who had cosplayed as Cha Cha's colleague before, were also wearing red capes today.

- Are you really making the top idols in Korea do this? 😂

The Cha Chas took center stage. Among the three Cha Chas, Park Yoon-Chan was at the center, looking serious yet on the verge of tears.

- Wow-

- Yoon-Chan 😂

- I'm getting tired of this serious Cha Cha stuff... Chronos should stop with this

- So cute awww

- If you don’t like it, just don't watch. Why complain?

- We aren’t here to look at Chronos doing this nonsense. We come to see the Slacker family DUH

Ignoring the nitpicky complaints in the chat, the Rings’ focus was truly on the determined-looking Yoon-Chan. His position suggested that he would be the center for the dance break for the first time.

Bum-digi bum-digi bum bum di-gi-gi-gi-gi-gi cha-cha...

Goh Yoo-Joon's voice whispered a low "bum-di-gi." As the Rings expected, Park Yoon-Chan was in charge of the dance break. The dance was dramatically challenging as it had been chosen for its dramatic effect during the audition back then. Park Yoon-Chan had improved a year and a half later. While he seemed a bit stiff and not so flexible, unlike before when he had been called out for his dancing skills, he was now hitting the beats properly.

As the difficulty of Chronos' choreographies increased compared to Cha Cha, so did Yoon-Chan's familiarity with them. Now he was a member of Chronos. Even though he was criticized as a bad dancer within the group compared to the other members, he danced much better than Gun-Seok next to him.

Gun-Seok was the comic relief during the dance break. He learned the fast-paced choreography in just five minutes and it was particularly noticeable that his arms, legs, waist, and head movements were stiff and awkward and that he had practically given up and forged his own unique choreography in the end.

Add to that Lee Jin-Sung excitedly flapping his wig and skirt continuously while Goh Yoo-Joon and Joo So-Dam still played music with content expressions in the background.

What an imbalance!

- 😂😂😂😂😂

- The colors of the video are so pretty, it's infuriating, ahaha

- Will this video be uploaded later?

- The kill point is Goh Yoo-Joon looking at them as a grandfather would at his grandchildren lol

- Why are the instrumentalists so pleasing to listen to 😂

- Piano: Goh Yoo-Joon, Prince Center: Park Yoon-Chan, Skirt Flipped: Lee Jin-Sung, please show them lots of love!!!!

Joo So-Dam had put a lot of effort into the music video. However, many scenes couldn't be included due to the lack of time.

Nonetheless, the song was “Red Riding Hood Cha Cha," the concept was orchestra or opera, the protagonists were the three Cha Chas, and the atmosphere was as heartwarming as a family movie. It provided a characteristic laughter similar to watching a spoof dubbing.

After the music video ended, the screen went dark, showing the cast on set.

“Yes! You've watched the ‘Red Riding Hood Cha Cha’ music video. How was it?"

“Ah! It was less funny than I expected, which was disappointing," Joo So-Dam shouted and slammed the floor in laughter.

The on-set vibe was much funnier, especially with Gun-Seok's antics and Lee Jin-Sung's skirt and wig mishaps. But the editing team focused more on Park Yoon-Chan than anticipated, leading to a less entertaining outcome than Joo So-Dam had hoped.

Still, the response was quite positive. As the Slacker cast continued their chat, Suh Hyun-Woo was looking at Park Yoon-Chan. Yoon-Chan, who had led a dance break for the first time, was nervously watching the chat. When their eyes met, Suh Hyun-Woo mouthed, "Well done."

Meanwhile, Joo-Han had been rolling on the floor laughing from the moment Yoon-Chan started dancing.

“Wow, Yoo-Joon looks really handsome. I always knew you were good-looking, you in that suit you were just something else.”

Joo-Han couldn't help but laugh, prompting a playful rebuke. “Aren't you laughing a bit too much?"

“Yoo-Joon, did you know how to play the piano beforehand?"

Goh Yoo-Joon replied with a modest nod. “Ah, I learned a bit a long time ago. Just tinkered with the piano in the practice room a little."

Ji Byeok-San skillfully balanced his attention among the cast members by throwing questions and engaging them in lively discussions. He also turned to the viewers as he was curious about their reception of the show.

And finally, the moment arrived to unveil the “Kang Joo-Han” team's music video.

“So, next up is our team with a music video for the song titled ‘Kang Joo-Han.’ What do you think about the song?" Ji Byeok-San asked, looking expectantly at the Slacker cast.

Kim Do-Rim responded with enthusiasm. “The lyrics are incredibly fun and dramatic."

Joo-Han nodded in agreement and added, “This song was exclusively released to our fan club, so many of you might not be familiar with it, but I hope you will find it enjoyable nonetheless.”

Suh Hyun-Woo was then asked to give a brief introduction of the music video. He clutched a penguin doll in his arm and affectionately stroked its head as he spoke, “We tried something a bit different this time, so we created the ‘Kang Joo-Han’ music video in a musical drama format."

- I am listening to “Kang Joo-Han” to grasp an idea, but it’s hilarious 😂

- Musical drama? I can’t wait!!!

- Hyun-Woo hugging a penguin doll is so adorable ??

- Are they going to post this on UTube later?

- Kang Joo-Han singing “Kang Joo-Han” 😂

- lmao I can still hear Joo-Han laughing in the back

Amid the behind-the-scenes chatter, Joo-Han's infectious laughter continued to echo. It was a testament to the hilarity of the members' performances. The anticipation among the Rings was palpable.

The Rings had been able to see Goh Yoo-Joon elegantly playing the piano in a suit and Park Yoon-Chan masterfully dancing at the center in the “Cha Cha” music video. Since they discovered that Yoo-Joon could indeed play the piano, today had been a day of delightful revelations.

They wondered about the charm and appeal of “Kang Joo-Han” and were eager for what would come next.

“Why don't we take a look now? Here’s Ji Byeok-San's team with ‘Kang Joo-Han.’"

The screen went dark once more. When it lit up again, it portrayed a scene from a studio where Joo-Han was depicted in distress. He was clutching his head.

- Oh no... They’re gone again... Ah...

The screen now artfully switched to black and white. It carried a poignant and deeply humane vibe, contrasting sharply with the rich and colorful ambiance of the “Red Riding Hood Cha Cha.” It was like watching the heartfelt closing scene of a documentary.

- What exactly is this concept? lol

- I did not see this coming 😂

- Is Joo-Han a member's name?

- Yes, it's a member's name and also the title of the song.

- Joo-Han AHAHAHAHA

- What song is “Kang Joo-Han?”

- Just watch and see, gosh

While Cha Cha had enjoyed widespread popularity, Joo-Han was less known. Therefore, fewer people were familiar with the song. The Rings who knew the lyrics already found the video amusing, but those new to “Kang Joo-Han” showed mixed reactions. The sight of a usually composed idol in a state of comic distress was funny, yet some viewers struggled with the context.

The camera then gently zoomed out from a close-up of Joo-Han's back and revealed Suh Hyun-Woo standing behind a door in the studio, watching Joo-Han with a look of sympathy.

- Hyung...

He sighed deeply, and the concern was evident on his face as he held a bowl of fruit. He seemed unsure of how to alleviate Joo-Han's discomfort.

- ...How. To. Comfort. Joo-Han..., he muttered softly to himself.

On top of Suh Hyun-Woo’s handsome features, serious demeanor, and tender voice complementing his exceptional footwork, his expressions were spot on while performing. However, when it came to acting, the viewers were left speechless at his lacking skills.
