"If the royal envoy from the Palace went over to this manor and summoned you, are you going by yourself then, elder brother?"

Harrison asked his elder brother since if his elder brother happened to be summoned at the Royal Palace by the Emperor's decree, there are chances that Harrison or Felicity wouldn't be able to tag along with their elder brother to accompany him if the agenda would be most likely about the Crown Prince.

Both siblings would accompany their elder brother whenever he got summoned to either the Royal Palace or whatever events and banquets that's being held and most of the nobles already knew about this one actual fact about the Chevalier siblings.

There are others who tried to sow discord between these siblings and tried to ruin their sibling relationship with one another, but they failed because there is one thing that others wouldn't know about it.

And that's because of their eternal trust with each other and knowing each other's agendas, whether they were positive or negative, the three of them knew that whatever they were planning or thinking about, the siblings knew that it wouldn't harm themselves and would given each other's trust wholeheartedly.

Especially to their deceased little brother Ezekiel.

Although they admit to themselves that they weren't that good for the child and even neglected him the moment he was brought back to the manor since he was around eight years old at that time.

Harrison didn't want to dwell that much because the more he remembered Ezekiel, the more he felt guilty and blamed himself for not being by his side.

'If I were the one who escorted him back then, none of this would happen. He wouldn't meet his demise at such young age!'

For three years, Harrison couldn't help but blamed himself for Ezekiel's sudden death because first and foremost, he is a Knight and secondly, he is the second eldest to the siblings. It's his job and responsibility to protect his siblings with all his might.

That's why upon learning about Ezekiel's sudden death three years ago and about the Crown Prince's involvement, or more preferably, had in hand about the assassination order for his little brother, he almost lose himself if it weren't for his Vice Captain that time and stopped him from doing anything that he would regret.

During the trial, Harrison, together with his siblings and his father, attended the trial and he only watched as a spectator and let his elder brother do his thing.

"Honestly, it doesn't matter if you guys wanted to go with me or not. Besides, it's already understandable to His Majesty, the Emperor that both of you were always by my side and act as my advisors sometimes."

Harrison snapped from his thoughts when he heard what his elder brother said and both Chevalier siblings just sighed as they shook off their heads because of their elder brother's statement.

"Geez! That's already—"

All of them looked at each other after hearing a cracking sound and Harrison noticed the artifact that he laid on the ground had a simple crack within the corners and the young Count somewhat became alert within his surroundings.

"W-what's happening?"

Lorraine asked in a trembling tone while looking around and became anxious all of the sudden because she felt an eerie feeling when she heard a sudden crack from nowhere.

However, she noticed how the young Count became on guard after he looked at the artifact he activated earlier, and she couldn't help but to ask out of curiosity.

"Count Chevalier, t-the artifact…. W-why was it…."

However, before she could finish her sentence….

*BOOOM!

"AHHH!"

Lorraine shouted because of the sudden tremble within their surroundings and the artifact that the young Count activated shattered into pieces and the barrier from earlier disappeared that makes all of them became highly alerted.

Also, they heard footsteps coming at their way and all of them prepared themselves.

"GRAND DUKE! LADY MARCHIONESS!"

One by one, all of the Elite Knights of the Chevaliers suddenly came in as they shouted for their master's and when they saw that there was no harm happening, they almost relaxed but never let their guard down.

"What's the situation?"

All Elite Knights just noticed their second young master within them, and they almost forgot that he was here since when their second young master had been given peerage by the Emperor, their second young master rarely visited this manor.

"S-second… I, mean—"

The Captain of the Elite Knights of Chevalier couldn't continue his sentence when Harrison waved his hand and said; "Forget that for a moment. Just what the heck is happening right now, CAPTAIN HIZAR?"

Although his words had a nonchalant tone but as a Knight himself, Hizar of the Elite Knights could tell that their second young master would spill bloodshed within this manor because of his forest-colored eyes that became dull for a moment.

'No matter what others said, our second young master is still our second young master!'

He might have separated himself from the Marquis Chevalier household because the Emperor granted him peerage and his own land to lead, but Harrison would still be the second young master from the Marquis (Grand Duke) Chevalier household.

Captain Hizar calm himself for a moment and speak; "There is an unknown intruder who suddenly launch an attack, and I have the Knights deployed to defend the manor, but that person wasn't alone, they were in group around 10-15 people wearing a mask to conceal themselves and the other Knights are currently fighting them."

"WHAT?! WHO IN THEIR RIGHT MIND TO SUDDENLY LAUNCH AN ATTACK TO THIS MANOR?!"

Felicity yelled as she lost her composure the moment that the Captain of the Elite Knights laid out his report to everyone in the room and the others couldn't blame the Lady Marchioness for her outburst because even, they would feel the same way.

All of them could still hear the sound of incoming attack from the outside and Altron went over towards one of the windows inside his office and took a sneak peek on what's happening on the outside.

He watch as those unknown individuals clash with most of the Elite Knights of his manor and not only that, but some of the high-class boutiques and stores near their household are now panicking and some of them fought bravely against those assailants.

'Just who are these people anyway?! Also, they have the nerve to attack our household, the Chevaliers?! It seems like whoever had done this doesn't want to live any longer!'

Altron thought as he diverted his eyes away from the window and then looked at the Captain of the Elite Knights and said; "Hazir, accompany the Lady Marchioness and our two guests to a safe place. Me and Harrison would go out and fight those assailants. As for others, come with us."

After he laid out his order for everyone, Altron prepared himself as he activated his trait and manifest a translucent bow with an insignia of the Chevaliers and looked for the other three people with him.

"Felicity—"

However, his words got cut off when his little sister interrupted him.

"NO! I won't leave! I'll fight as well!" Felicity shouted as she looked at her brothers with a determined expression on her face.

"Felicity, please listen to us—" This time, Harrison tried to reason out to his sister but was cut off by her instead.

"Aren't you guys forgetting something? I AM A CHEVALIER! I am not some delicate young noblewoman who only knows how to socialize and look pretty in front of anyone! Don't treat me as if I'm some fragile glass!"

Felicity let out her frustration for once because she didn't want to be seen as a burden to her family's honor name and she activated her trait, and all of the objects attributed to weapons within the room resonates within her and spiraling around her as her jade-colored eyes shines within her.

Although Felicity knew how to wield a sword since she had a bloodline of the Knight Warrior and also, she trained on how to fight ever since she was young back then however, [Swordsmaster] or [Swordsmanship] isn't her trait, unlike Harrison.

Her main trait as an awakened Knight Warrior bloodline is none other than [Armament].

Her trait has the ability to integrate weaponized objects into her own bidding and there is also an amplification skill that she could place on any weapons to give enough power to activate it.

'To make it short, the Lady Marchioness' trait is perfect for these people since she could act as a Support Character in the battle, like most of what happens in the Games back at the modern worldlines.'

Francis thought as he witnessed the ability of the Lady Marchioness that had unleashed, and he suddenly got reminded of her skill similar to those in the games back at the modern worldlines.

Although Francis' memory weren't that quite clear but as a fragmented self-aware character who had traveled thousands of worldlines, his consciousness could remember some but at the same time, it wasn't.

"I'll fight as well."

Francis said as he unleashed his [Shadow Energy] and his eyes turned dark purple while manifesting his shadow sword and take a grip on its hilt as he swings his blade around him.
