Mind Demon's Path of Domination

Chapter 39: Hunt (1)

Mark looked at the Dungeon Demon. It looked humanoid but its head resembled more that of a lizard's head. There were two hands on its face instead of two eyes, and it was on top of the hands where its eyes rested.

Its finger-like eyelashes blinked at him, and the red eyes within grew livid.

Green in color, the creature was around 2 meters in size, and it had sharp horns on the sides of its forehead. It stared at him coldly as an even bigger demon strived to move out of the Demon Summoning Rune that was shimmering above it.

It was summoning another Demon. A Pinnacle Demonling.

Face uncalm, Mark stared at the Demon that was trying to move out.

Both of these creatures were a great threat to him.

With their Pinnacle Mental Resistance, both his Heart Input and Dream Shock didn't work on them. The only other demonic trick in his hand was Dungeon Heart Seed and it was going to be useless, too.

As for his physical body, their bodies were not one bit inferior.

Especially the Demon that was halfway outside the Summoning Rune already. It was the best at its physical prowess, and he probably had no chance of survival in a brawl.

[Minotaur]

[Tier 0—Demonling]

[Physique: 10/10 (Pinnacle)]

[Mind: 10/10 (Pinnacle)]

[Resistances: Physical Resistance (Low) (Tier 1), Mental Resistance (Pinnacle) (Tier 0)].[Demonic Tricks: Soul Devourer. Muscular Boost (Pinnacle), Slam (Pinnacle), Roar of Rage (Pinnacle).]

Mark's expression tightened even more.

The Resistance.

The Minotaur's physical body had a Resistance of Tier 1 level.

He had forgotten. It indeed worked that way.

Since Dona was a Flame Type Demon, she had Fire Resistance. Even though she was just a Low-level Demon, her Fire Resistance alone was Medium. Otherwise, her own Low-Level flames would burn her body to ash.

Since he was an Ephemeral Dungeon Heart Demon, he had Heart Resistance of a higher quality than his own true Tier of evolution. Mark was a Tier 0 Pinnacle, but his Heart Resistance was a Tier 1 Low.

Of course, since the Minotaur was physically good, its Resistance was also a step better.

Sweat dripped down Mark's forehead. He had brought a small bomb in his hand—it was given to him by Yuri.

It would not deal much damage to a demon externally, but as long as he could throw it into the mouth of the Dungeon Demon and make the bomb explode from the inside, it was bound to suffer.

But even that won't hurt the Minotaur one bit.

"RAA!" The Dungeon Demon growled and stood up. It sprang towards him, and Mark could see the sheer tyranny in its cold gaze.

But immediately enough, he saw through its intentions, and his heart turned calloused.

As long as I kill you before the bull walks out, it's a victory for me.

Hunter Worlds's Will would handle the rest.

Throwing the bag away, Mark pulled out a small black orb from inside it along with a metal bottle and exchanged an intense gaze with the Dungeon Demon.

Suddenly, it slowed down on its charge, and greenish-black hands started to appear all over the creature's lizard-like humanoid body.

All of the hands spread their palms open at the same time, and tens of deep red eyes glanced at Mark and blinked hideously.

*Screech!*

Immediately, Mark felt his world turn dark—he had no way of defending against it.

Demonic Trick—Hand of Blindness!

Twisting the metal bottle open with a powerful squeeze, Mark drank the black water, and his vision immediately returned.

"Come on!" he said coldly.

The bizarre Dungeon Demon was just a meter away from him, and Mark gently swiveled to the side to avoid its charge before one of his red hands penetrated the now-tens of his hand around its mouth and directly planted the black orb into its mouth.

Since its neck was more lizard-like, the orb slid down easily.

Kicking the fearful demon away, Mark walked backward while looking at the Minotaur, who was nearly fully out of the demon summoning circle. He smirked.

"Hand boy, that bomb would react to movement, so you better not move much," He shouted and ran out of the Boss Room without a second's delay.

The hand-faced Demon didn't try to chase and kept trying to gag out what Mark had pushed into its face. "Raghh!"

"Grah!"

Demon roars echoed all over.

Soon enough, Mark was outside. Looking at Dona, who was face-to-face with all the Demons, he jumped towards her and grabbed her hand.

"The Dungeon Demon is going to die soon," he said.

That meant the Dungeon would also vanish. The Minotaur, no matter how strong it was, will die to the Hunter World's Will. It seemed as if it was still dazed, but soon enough, it would probably chase him.

Mark jumped down the stairs rapidly and looked at the fodder Demons around. He brought Dona to the spider demon corpse that he had torn the legs from. He had not killed it entirely, and it seemed to have not been eaten.

That was for Dona to use and strengthen herself.

"Eat it," he said, warily looking towards the Boss Room.

All the fodders looked at the scene with hungry eyes but they were not allowed to eat each other while in the Dungeon.

The Dungeon Demon had set some rules upon summoning them and this was one of the basics—even though the Dungeon Demon itself didn't have the intelligence to do that, it came with the Demon Summoning demonic trick.

Cannibalism was not allowed inside the Dungeon.

Dona didn't wait and immediately began to gorge on the charred demonic spider-like creature. Mark looked at one Demonling in particular—a snake—and feeling a bit uncalm at the lack of an explosion, he used Heart Input on the Demonling.

"Jump towards the Red Demons and snatch the meal from them!" he whispered.

[Mind: 4/10]

The snake-like creature didn't wait to think and jumped from the ceiling towards them.

Mark easily tore it into pieces when it came near.

Too weak.

Even though it died and he got the Soul Spheres, he didn't throw the corpse aside and kept it in his hand. Yuri might be able to do research on it.

Just as he did that, though, his face twisted towards the ceiling, and he saw the Minotaur walking dumbly out of the room. It was slow and it somehow seemed old, bored. The fact that demons were dumb was a big blessing.

It stared at him murderously, and he felt his skin prickle. Even if he couldn't kill the Demon himself, it shouldn't be able to kill him either. It was also just a Pinnacle Demonling and all its Physical demonic tricks were easily countered with Mark's Pinnacle Physical Resistance.

A fight would only end in mutual time waste.

BOOM!!!!!!!

The small orb that the demon swallowed—the bomb—had exploded.
