"Luci…" Hearts swirled around in Lu Lu's eyes as she accepted the gesture with open arms, taking a seat right beside Lucifer.

After helping her settle in, Lucifer took his place on the other side of the small wooden table. Then, he began, "My dear Lu Lu, you are looking quite beautiful today~ And is that a new necklace I see~?"

Pointing out the octagon-shaped ruby hanging from a silver pendant on her delicate neck, he wondered how much it would fetch if he sold it.

On the other hand, Lu Lu let out a soft giggle at his kind words and touched the ruby necklace before saying, "It's my grandmother's— something that she gave to me a long time ago when she was in the—"

"Ah, how interesting, My Love~ But have you noticed the tantalizing duck dishes I have prepared for our date tonight~?"

Lucifer really didn't have any interest in listening to some useless backstory, so he cut her story short, attempting to distract her with the gourmet meal he prepared beforehand.

"Luci, is this what I think it is!?" Lu Lu's sparkled in happiness as she lifted the lids off the silver platters and saw what lay underneath.

When she did, her eyes brightened up as she cried out in excitement, "It really is the Jade Goose! They're said to be found only in the lakes west of the manor! How did you manage to acquire them, Luci!?"

"This is nothing much for my dear Lu Lu. You know that I would go to the ends of the earth to make you happy, don't you?"

'Damn, her voice is so annoying.'

Lucifer's thoughts were a sharp contrast to his flowery words, as he continued showering her with compliment after compliment, ultimately, reaching a point where he was ready to ask the crucial question.

"Tell me, Lu Lu. If I told you that I was close to dying and that there was absolutely no way that my family could know of my affliction, would you do something rather perilous for this Young Master of yours?"

Holding both of her soft, porcelain hands in his grasp, Lucifer awaited her reply.

And just as he had predicted it to be, she snuggled up close to his chest before whispering seductively, "I would do anything for you, Luci~ Anything~"

She then tugged down the fabric covering her cleavage, clearly trying to seduce the 'adorable young master.'

'I really don't trust this vixen… I don't know what it is, but there's something off about her existence. It's almost as if she doesn't feel like a real person…'

Lucifer never gave it much thought before, assuming she was simply a naturally whimsical woman who somehow found a way to love the weak, cowardly trash of the main family—

Things started to click together inside Lucifer's head as he started to get a rough understanding of the situation concerning his 'innocent' maid.

'I wondered how she managed to sneak into the family's treasury without raising any alarms. And then there was the theft in the alchemy room of the mansion…'

It did not take a genius to deduce the truth from the hints given and this realization only further reinforced what Lucifer was going to do either way.

'If you wish to play this game, then I will play my part to perfection.'

Lucifer's thoughts turned sinister as he gently gripped the ditsy maid's hands, tilting her face toward his. "You need to go back into the Alchemy Room and 'borrow' a couple dozen Alchemy Furnaces," he said in a gentle tone, quickly having one of his hands caress her soft, plump cheeks.

"Young Master Luci~" Lu Lu's eyes glazed over, seemingly always getting lost in his profound gaze.

However, after a moment of allowing herself to indulge in the moment, she puffed her lips and whimpered, "I don't know if my useless self can pull this one off, Luci… I-I don't want to disappoint you, b-but…" she sniffled, burying her face in his robes.

"My dear Lu Lu, you are the furthest thing from useless. Just believe in yourself as I believe in you… Get this done, and we can get married… But only if you do this small favor for me."

Lucifer couldn't help but admit that she could likely be capable of fooling just about anyone else.

"B-But, Luci… I don't know if I can-'' She attempted to counter his request with puppy dog eyes. However, they had no effect on him, as he cut her off her, saying:

"I believe in you, My Love. Now go and get it done. If you do it all right, then we can consummate the marriage right away~" Lucifer's eyes hunted suggestively as he looked at his groin before staring at the fake blush on her face.

'This bitch is actually not impressed by the Divine Dragon? What a waste of a good erect magic cast.'

He clicked his tongue before hearing her respond with a big gulp, "L-Luci, since you put it like that, I will get it done… for the future of 'us.'"

"For the future of us." Lucifer toasted the snake-like woman inside his mind as he let the night continue to unfold.

After a couple of hours, the two parted ways.
