Chaos Evolution: Only I Was Granted 3 Wishes

Chapter 243: Palkus’ Journey! 34

There was a slight change of plans. The mission wasn't done the next day but three days later. Azeroth was busy with a little something, you see.

Well Palkus didn't mind, he spent his days sleeping until Azeroth came knocking, looking slightly more worn off than usual.

"Let's go." He said.

"Sure sure." Palkus gazed at him and then at the bartendress, who was walking away while waving at him with a smile and shook his head.

"So this is the plan to have an endless supply of wine for free, huh?" Palkus was once again walking next to Azeroth while the both of them were heading towards the hiding spot of the vampires, causing problems for the bar.

"Yeah, yeah. And I don't regret it." Azeroth nodded.

"Tsk." Palkus clicked his tongue. In what way is this going to be helpful to him.

"Just watch and learn." Azeroth said randomly.

"Watch and learn what? How am I supposed to use these tricks, I don't even drink." Palkus retorted.

Suddenly, Azeroth stopped, looked at Palkus, and then shook his head.

"You're too young, Palkus. Too immature." He said.

"What? What are you even talking about?" At this point, the young man was reaching his breaking point. He had enough of being treated like a child, he never felt this annoyed.

"You see, it was never about getting wine." Azeroth started walking ahead and said.

"Then what is it about?" Palkus asked.

"The bea- I mean, the method." Azeroth, who's mind wondered for a bit almost replied wrong before he corrected himself.

"You see. This was but one of the ways to get what you want for free, and that is to fix a problem. It's like providing a service for a customer and instead of paying with cash they pay with what they have."

"You already have an example with Emma, but, let's take another example." Azeroth said.

"Who's Emma?" Palkus stopped him and asked.

"The bartendress." Azeroth replied, not bothering to explain anything more.

"Let's take an inn manager for example, who has to deal with burglars and what not. He, as a poor and weak man, cannot do anything against them but you and me are strong, we are also new to whatever city his inn is located in, so what do we do?" Azeroth looked at Palkus and asked.

"We ask for rooms in exchange for helping him out."

"Once and for all, yes. Now you get it." Azeroth nodded.

"Remember, young man. Always look for the good in things. Don't let yourself be blinded by what wouldn't benefit you in anyway. Look for benefits, always." Azeroth gave his advice and repeated it.

"Sure, sure." Palkus nodded, As much as he hated the way Azeroth spoke to him, he was right.

The way forward was like yesterday, bustling with passerbys, but once the duo entered the ally that would take them to the hideout of the bastard vampires, not a single being was in sight any longer.

So, the two, instead of getting serious, smiled.

"I don't know why, but I feel like I can have some good fun over here." Palkus stated, cracking his hands.

"You think I just decided to choose that bar?" Azeroth replied.

After coming out of the alley, what welcomed them was an empty street. It was more like an empty space surrounded by the backs of the houses than a street.

It was wide, and on the far end of the empty place, there was a moderately sized estate. The lights were on and loud voices could be heard even from her.

"Tsk tsk, I'm surprised they don't use this place." Azeroth looked at the empty space around him which looked like the perfect place to hold parties and whatnot in utter peace and clicked his tongue.

"Hey, Azeroth." Palkus called.

"What do you think we ditch that estate and take this one after beating those guys." He said.

"Hmm? That's a good idea. We can make good use of this place." Seeing how empty it was and the space in front of it, Azeroth thought that it wasn't a bad idea.

Now, the abandoned estate they had was also located in a relatively empty place, but, it was abandoned. Nothing was there. Imagine the amount of food, gold, wine, and tranquility they'll find in such a hideout.

This was also one of the perks of not buying things with money. Once again, don't try it out unless you can beat an EX-rank one on one.

"Let's move." Palkus couldn't keep his excitement and moved forward, ready to kick some ass.

"I see you're as excited as I am." Azeroth who could finally beat up some humanoid beings, was looking forward to it beyond belief. The delightful screams, the cracking of bones, the light being snuffed out of the eyes. Oh how he missed all of this.

After walking for a distance, they entered the little courtyard of the estate, although the empty space could be counted as such, but it didn't have the little garden and greenery needed to be called a genuine one.

*Knock* *Knock*

Azeroth gestured for Palkus to stand aside and knocked on the door.

"Who's there?" A mob suddenly came closer to the door and shouted.

"Your death."

*BOOOM*

The second he felt the mob coming closer, Azeroth smiled, took a few steps back to give himself some leg room, and kicked the door as hard as he could.

"KYAAAAAAA!" The second the door as kicked in, the mob who was coming was taken out by the impact and was launched quite a distance away until his back met the stairs going upwarrds.

One of the hoes who were invited over here was standing with a glass of wine overlooking her guest going to open the door after somebody stopped their sweet time and was taken by surprise when he suddenly flew all the way back, and from his condition…

"There's no way he's alive, right?" Palkus entered and by using his senses, he saw the condition of the mob.

"Man, so boring." Azeroth entered slowly after and looked up at the hoe, then his eyes lit up.
