Chaos Evolution: Only I Was Granted 3 Wishes

Chapter 240: Palkus’ Journey! 31

*Thump* *Thump*

"Are you sure this is fine?" Palkus walked next to Azeroth and asked.

"Don't be like that, Palkus." Azeroth shook his head.

"Why waste money when there are abandoned houses all around?" He asked.

"Take a room, mess around with it a bit, and live. Keep the money. Live happy." Azeroth instructed.

"Now that I think about it… That's genius! Why didn't I think of it?" Palkus exclaimed.

"That, young man, is because you have too much money." Azeroth replied.

There weren't many towns in the Vampire continent. In fact, there were 12 in total.

Twelve in a continent many times as big as Draco's previous world. So one can only imagine how huge they were. Still, they were called towns because… well, that's how they do things over here.

This was all to explain how the space occupied by a single town was huge, and there were many abandoned buildings such as this all around.

Azeroth just swept his senses once, looked for a building with no life signs inside, and teleported over with Palkus.

Now, they were walking through a long corridor. Many windows were to their left, shining the last light of the day, A red carpet was below their feet, still shining as if it refused to take a single speck of dust.

But such a thing was normal in a magical world. The carpet was dust resistant, scrap that, the whole estate was dust resistant. Leave it for a hundred thousand years and you'll find it as clean as it was. The dream of all mothers.

Thus, by Azeroth's analogy, it was a waste to let them be abandoned. Who will punish them anyway?

They were here to beat up the progenitor of vampires, let alone a little soldier, guard, or entitled prick.

And this was Azeroth's guide to getting a house for free 101. don't try it if you're not at least capable of taking out an EX-rank.

"I'll get this room; you get that one." Azeroth said, pointing at two rooms right next to each other.

"Hmm…" Palkus, feeling that something was weird, swept his senses to see the reason why Azeroth chose this room instead of dozens others and…

"Aha!" He shouted.

"Tsk, you got me." Azeroth clicked his tongue.

"I don't drink, just enjoy." Palkus shook his head with a smile and proceeded to enter his room.

"You're missing out a lot, Palkus." Azeroth spoke and entered his room. A wide smile plastered on his face.

"Let me miss out. I ain't drinking." Palkus replied from his room. His voice, though not loud, traversed all the way to Azeroth.

"Sure sure. You do you." Azeroth shrugged.

Then, while one was bringing out the wine collection, the other was trying out the bed and…

They didn't come out that night. In fact, they didn't come out the whole week.

One indulged, and the other slept.

Nobody knew that two individuals who were here on a mission to change the continent all together had taken hold of an abandoned house and were enjoying themselves lazily.

For Azeroth, he just wanted to lay back and take it easy.

In Palkus' case, Draco just told him to become a Monarch, not how fast he should. So…

Truthfully speaking, he was just killing time, in wait of his beloved Emily to arrive faster.

They will be separated for two years. Two full years… How sad is that? Just after he thought they will never be separated for eternity?

Well at least they won't be separated anymore after they get together once again.

Now, Palkus had two missions. One, beat the vampire progenitor and take his place. The way he was going to do this was yet undecided, but he didn't want to just go there and kill him. He wanted to lay back and enjoy his time.

After waking up from his deep slumber. The first thing Palkus did was sweep his senses, and when he saw that, it was still morning. Went right back to sleep.

Only waking up a few hours later.

*Knock* *Knock*

"Hey… Palkus." Azeroth called.

"What's up?" Not even a moment after Azeroth called, Palkus opened the door and aske.

"The wine…" Azeroth, looking completely wasted, said.

"What's with it?"

"It's finished…"

"… So?" Palkus asked.

"… I forgot you were but a young man. You wouldn't understand." Azeroth sighed and walked back to his room, looking down.

"We can just buy more." Palkus said, getting out of his room.

"Buy this, buy that. Tsk tsk, you only know how to waste money." Azeroth shook his head once more.

"Then what else can we do?" Palkus was starting to lose it. Now that he was alone with Azeroth, he felt like he was an immature brat who knew nothing of life.

"Huh?" Palkus was taken aback when Azeroth suddenly turned to look at him.

His sorry appearance was back to his devilishly handsome, fallen angel self, and a wide smile was plastered on his face.

"Let me show you how we do it." Azeroth announced.

And thus, the first excursion of the duo started.

There was but one mission… get wine.

But here's the twist: they have to get it for free.

"How are we supposed to get it for free, man?" Palkus, walking by Azeroth's side on the now bustling night streets, asked once again.

The city was well lit. The ambience was lovely and everybody walked by alone or in groups.

Luxury carriages and fancy clothes were worn by every passerby as if this wasn't a town but a gathering of nobles.

No signs of poverty were visible, and even the other races, humans, elves, witches, and others were wearing clothes as fancy as they came.

The duo got all kinds of glances from the women, either walking alone or in groups. Some were even with their partners yet they were still so bold as to wink at them.

"Just follow me, and you'll see." Azeroth repeated his words.

While Palkus ignored all the glances and winks, Azeroth didn't.

But one thing they both noticed… was that women seemed to have more power over men.
