Absolute Resonance

Eight glorious and titanic Duke Bergfrieds stood tall, akin to massive mountains as they quietly floated in the sky. They were emitting indescribable and vast energy undulations, like an unfathomable ocean. The aura of absolute perfection flowed around them, as though they were the most perfect objects in the world. Every single trace of it was filled with an inscrutable charm.

Meanwhile, Qin Baiyan, Li Jiluo, Li Qingpeng, and the rest of them also had their Duke Bergfrieds out. Originally, they possessed the most awe-inspiring array of Duke Bergfrieds in the Treasure Domain, but now they were overshadowed by Tan Tailan's. In fact, their Bergfireds began to subtly shake and the brilliance emitting from them was slightly restrained.

It was almost as though they feared her. After all, she stood at the very peak of the Duke Stage, a Transcendent Duke!

As one cultivated resonant power through the stages, only by becoming a Transcendent Duke could they be considered to have reached the true extremities of power.

A single step allowed them to ascend into the heavens. This was the only stage where they could surpass a King with the power of a Duke. Although Transcendent Dukes possessed an unrivaled reputation throughout the ages, the difficulty of reaching such a point was beyond one's imagination. The necessary confluence of talent, potential, and opportunity was rarely seen. Who knew just how many demonic geniuses had attempted the Path of Ascension throughout history. However, each Ten-Pillar Golden Duke Bergfried built was yet another incredible chasm they had to cross. Each step exhausted one’s limited amount of potential.

In the end, very, very few had managed to walk this path to the end. Thus, obtaining seven Ten-Pillar Golden Duke Bergfrieds would grant one the title of a Lesser Transcendent Duke.

Meanwhile, Tan Tailan had eight, which meant she was a Greater Transcendent Duke! In terms of battle ability, Greater Transcendent Dukes were able to match Dual Crowned Kings. Furthermore, even amongst Dual Crowned Kings, they stood at the top with exceptional battle strength. The appearance of this throne affected all of the worldly natural energy within the World's End River Region; all of that energy surged into it like an endless sea. The divine throne was engraved with countless archaic runes and emanated dense source origin energy.

What was most eye-catching was a carving of a gigantic golden Peng on the throne, whose wings were spread out. The bird seemed as though it was alive, its sharp eyes looking down upon the land as its tyrannical aura pressed down upon everyone beneath.

"A Transcendent Heavenly Throne!" Qin Baiyan, Li Qingpeng, Li Jiluo, and the rest of the high-grade Dukes shouted out. A look of obsession and longing appeared in their eyes as they observed the throne that flowed with the aura of perfection. Possessing that very object was a dream most Dukes held in the depths of their hearts.

The throne was also the mark of a Transcendent Duke, their qualification to contest and rebuff even Kings.

Thus, once the Transcendent Heavenly Throne appeared, no one doubted Tan Tailan's stature as a Greater Transcendent Duke.

"Tan Tailan didn't have a single Ten-Pillar Golden Duke Bergfried in the past. Yet she was able to remedy the flaws twenty years later? Did she come across some wondrous opportunity?" Qin Baiyan said with a trace of bitterness in his voice.

Back then, Tan Tailan was truly talented and outstanding. She dominated her peers, and even many Dukes of the older generation were suppressed by her. Everyone remembered that Tan Tailan had not reached such a state at that time.

Thus, the only explanation was that she had come across a fortunate encounter in the last twenty years. This caused many of the familiar people in the crowd to feel complicated emotions in their hearts. They had thought that Tan Tailan would lose some of her shine by leaving the Heavenly Origin Divine Continent, but who would have expected that she would instead reach even more unfathomable heights?

"It's a good thing that Qin Lian is already dead..." This thought flashed through Qin Baiyan's mind. If she was still around, considering the hatred she held towards Tan Tailan, her mental state would’ve simply distorted to the point that she would go crazy and die on the spot.

Meanwhile, Li Jinpan and Li Qingpeng were extremely joyful. The birth of a Greater Transcendent Duke was good news no worse than Li Jingzhe revealing his Quasi-Triple Crown King strength. Li Luo and Jiang Qing'e also expressed great shock at the appearance of the Transcendent Heavenly Throne. They had never expected that Tan Tailan would return like this.

However, this was also accompanied by happiness. With a Greater Transcendent Duke's strength, Tan Tailan had the power to turn the tides.

With that in mind, the Faceless Other King formed a hand seal, and spatial ripples formed quickly, enveloping the area.

The entire world turned white and billions of faceless figures appeared in the void. After which, all of them spontaneously ignited and swiftly melted into a wax-like liquid.

This substance emanated a chilly and unsettling air.

Furthermore, everyone else who was trapped in this world, including the likes of Qin Baiyan, Li Qingpeng, and the other high-grade Dukes, could feel their faces wriggling. It was as though their features were swiftly vanishing.

However, just as they were panicking, a mysterious light spread over them, and wherever it passed through, the white world dissipated and was forced to retreat.

The source of the light was the Transcendent Heavenly Throne.

At this time, the endless amounts of white substance that filled the air congealed into a humongous face in the middle of the void.

A gigantic mouth opened up on the face, and it began to speak.

"Greater Transcendent Duke, have a taste of my Faceless Life Eroding Smoke!"

The gloomy voice of the Faceless Other King rumbled, and the mouth spewed out billowing clouds of white smoke.

The smoke seemed to be unstoppable as it pervaded every inch of the void. Even parts of the World's End River Region began to fill with smoke.

To their terror, everyone who encountered the smoke felt their facial features swiftly vanishing. Once all their features disappeared, their bodies would transform into wisps of white smoke!

When a Dual Crowned King took action, they were capable of extinguishing all life as easily as turning their palm over.

Qin Baiyan and the other high-grade Dukes avoided the smoke-like poison. The Faceless Life Eroding Smoke was what the Faceless Other King was notorious for. It had once turned a humongous kingdom into a land filled with faceless people.

It would be hard to survive once they came into contact with the smoke, despite being high-grade Dukes.

In the moment of chaos, Tan Tailan took her hands out of her pockets. Her gorgeous face had a hint of a smile on it. Reeeeee! A heaven-shaking cry of a bird resounded through the world. Vast amounts of golden light spilled out of the void behind her, and a gigantic golden Peng flew out.

Its outstretched wings reminded one of vast clouds that could cover the skies and the sun. The golden light wrapped around the wings gave off the impression that it was so sharp, it was capable of slicing through the firmament with ease.

The Golden Peng's sharp claws were surrounded in mystical runes, emitting terrifying force. It felt as though even the Dragon Race's tough bodies could be easily ripped apart with how honed they were. This was Tan Tailan's first resonance.

The middle ninth-grade Golden Winged Peng resonance! However, that wasn't all. After the Golden Winged Peng soared into the sky, space began to distort, and a mysterious, silver light flowed.

The silver light seemed to be perfectly matched with space itself, filling up any gaps as it constantly shifted between all sorts of different shapes.

Many were staring at the shifting void with dazzled eyes. It seemed like space was completely under her control. This sight caused the crowd to be reminded of a rarely seen resonance in the Heavenly Origin Divine Continent. It was the Tan Tailan's second resonance.

The space resonance. Furthermore, the spirituality of the resonance seemed to have become even greater than before. In fact, the power it emanated was simply frightening.

It contained even more spirituality than the Golden Winged Peng resonance.

They all knew that the Golden Winged Peng resonance was at the middle ninth-grade...
